So I recently came back from hiatus and many blogs I’d followed had gone inactive, so I’m looking for some more to fill my dashboard :> If you blog only or almost only about FR, give this a like or a reblog and I’ll check you out!

Just no drama-focused blogs, please. I don’t mind a bit of it but I won’t follow you if drama is a lot of what you post about.

I think that was holding me back before- I'm excited to explore the Beastclans and their interactions with my Clan without them being considered "Outliers" and having the looming canonical narrative over the whole ordeal

This event is 2 weeks long, so don’t feel like you have to spend all your dragon cash immediately to get whatever apparel/familiars/etc. you’re after. This especially goes for anything that can come from one of the Strange Chests.

On that note, Noc eggs will probably decrease in value as the event goes on, as will the breed change scrolls and G1 Nocs 

With the exception of the Bears, all of the items released for past NotNs have cycled in during future NotNs, so don’t worry if you don’t collect everything you want this year 

Don’t convert the NotN food items for points, and don’t hoard sell the NotN trinket items. These are used to get Strange Chests from Swipp.

Open all your Strange Chests BEFORE the event ends! They will disintegrate into dust once NotN is over. 

-After rollover today (Sunday), don't do ANY of your dailies before the NotN update drops at 06:00 FR time. In the past, this would really only apply to gathering, but if they'll continue to use this year's drop system (and it's safe to bet they will), there's a good chance you'll get chests from pretty much every daily. You don't want to miss out on those chests, trust me.

-If you plan on spending a lot of time in the coli (and you probably should, if you're able), it's safe to gather in Scavenging a lot. You'll be getting all the food you need from the coli, and Scavenging gives you a chance not only at chests but at more of those sweet sweet eggs.

-When you coli, a good strategy is to go to the venue that drops what Swipp wants for chest trades.

-Don't panic buy anything, especially not on the first day. This is a two week event. You'll have time to get everything you want and more, I prommy.

-If you want to make money, a good rule is to sell every chest you get during the first few days, and after that open 1/3 and sell the rest. This works, you have my word for it. I make at least enough money to fund many, many expensive g1 projects for the rest of the year during NotN.

-If you like g1s, this is a good time to look for any specific colour combos you're after! Everyone and their dog will be hatching a tonne of eggs.

Use Maki’s festival coliseum guide. They’re an incredibly kind soul and update it every fest+notn PLUS this thing

this thing is an ABSOLUTE GODSEND when trying to grind things for a swipp trade that is currently going on.

Columns are coliseum venues, rows are materials that drop from them (grouped by the swipp trades they participate in). Venues that are bolded have at least one swipp trade they drop both of the parts of, if they’re blue, they drop at least two different swipp trades (volcanic vents drops three!)*

This is gonna be a weird one to post because I don't usually get into the economics of NotN but to try and curb stress on Players, here's some tips about the buying-and-selling of NotN things (Chests, materials, food, eggs, scrolls, genes, etc)

Tips for Buyers

-Chests, Eggs, and EVERYTHING on the first few days will be wildly priced. Coli grinders on the first day will basically own the market. Wait it out. Prices will stabilize

-If you're looking for something specific, don't buy chests in hopes of getting it. Magic: The Gathering rules apply here. If you want a singleton, DON'T CRACK PACKS. Wait til you see what you want in store on its own and snap it up there. You'll almost always spend more on packs (Or chests, in this case) looking for it than you would buying it outright

-TRADE! TRADE! TRADE! Your trash is someone else's treasure. Don't be afraid to trawl around item/Familiar trading forums to see if someone has what you're looking for. Some people trade eggs for chests, or hatched G1s for other things!

Tips for Sellers

-THE CHESTS WILL DISINTEGRATE WHEN THE HOLIDAY IS OVER. DO NOT HOARD THEM. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THEM OUTSIDE OF THE HOLIDAY FOR A MARKUP. I REPEAT, DO NOT HOARD THEM. YOU WILL LOSE THEM.

-The first two and last two days are undoubtedly the best time to sell Chests. The prices on the last two days won't fluctuate like they do on the first two days, but they'll be higher due to the looming deadline (Or that's what I've always noticed)

-LOVE OF GOD MAKE SURE YOUR PAYMENT UNITS ARE SET CORRECTLY. A STACK OF CHESTS FOR 5000 TREASURE IS A GRAVE ERROR I DO NOT WISH TO SEE AGAIN. Some people will be nice enough to return the items, but that's not everyone. It sucks, but make DOUBLE SURE you have Gems selected if you want to sell Gems
