David Cumming (Charles Cholmondeley and others), Claire-Marie Hall (Jean Leslie and others), Natasha Hodgson (Ewen Montagu and others), Jak Malone (Hester Leggett and others), Zoe Roberts (Johnny Bevan and others).
presenting the old operation mincemeat act 1 finale, for interested parties...
i genuinely think boats are such good places to set a story because it automatically gives you a set of really interesting circumstances -- boats are transitory, you are not meant to stay on them forever, there is an automatic assumption of ending up somewhere different from where you started...characters are forced into close proximity, stakes are higher, etc. boats also just look cool, so that's always a plus
Does anyone have a broadway mincemeat bootleg they would be willing to share? I’m already going through withdrawal!!!

A while back, someone posted an image of the first time the cast saw the "ocean" in the finale, and like a dummy, I didn't save it, and now I cannot find it. Does anyone know the image I'm talking about or something similar? I want to set it as my computer background
I saw Jac Yarrow's debut as Marius in London last night, but unfortunately, his name hadn't been added to the program yet. When I met him at the stage door, he drew this to remedy the situation.
There hasn't been a good submarine movie in almost 25 years. (Whether U-571 is good or not heavily depends on which side of the Atlantic you're from.)
So hear me out:
These two books chronicle the same incident from two different submarines with a well-documented connection. At a time when everything is remakes and reboots, I say it's high time for a film production team with a touch of originality to make a movie based on both of these books - preferably a production team that also has a keen sense of historical accuracy, a flair for drama, and respect for those who have gone before instead of prioritizing profit.
Filmmakers, I leave it up to you to bust the blocks and bring this story on screen.
Wait...There are people out there who actually believe that U-571 is a good movie.
I own that T-shirt 🤣

It's June 1st, which means that 192 years ago Gavroche was telling Enjolras and Les Amis de l'ABC that General Lamarque just died. And Grantaire just realised that Enjolras was 100% serious about dying for the cause for the first time. And his heart broke at the sight of the guns because he knew he was about to lose the one person he loved.
For a cause he didn't believe in.
Today is 24601. Happy pride month.
somehow instead of saying "as a treat", I've started using the phrase "for morale", as if my body is a ship and its crew, and I (the captain) have to keep us in high spirits, lest we suffer a mutiny in the coming days.
and so I will eat this small block of fancy cheese, for morale. I will take a break and drink some tea, for morale. I will pick up that weird bug, for morale.
I'm not sure if it helps, but it does entertain me
90% of Les Amis have never worked a customer service job like no wonder they’re “for the people” send post
idk if this will be meaningful to anyone here, but oliver stark saying he was planning on taking matters into his own hands regarding bi buck this season has the exact same vibes as george blagden deciding on his own to play grantaire as in love with enjolras in the 2012 Les mis movie

Well considering the last movie I watched was Return of the King I suppose my job is to suffer and die
The thing about loving Lord of the Rings is that now I have Aragorn and Faramir level expectations for men.
