Jackie: I think theatre adds an extra personal element to any display of artwork because you can actually physically see the emotions on peopleās faces and it captures things in such like a real way that I donāt think film could ever encompass.Ā
Jackie: Itās been a while, um, School of Rock on Broadway in like early July.Ā
Jackie: Exciting.
Although this is not a stage costume, Meryl Streepās costume as the witch in the film of Into The Woods was gorgeous and the transformation from old witch to young witch was very well done as far as the differences and similarities in the costumes. Both costumes hold the same iconic elements that makes the costume indicative of the character, while differentiating between youth and old age.

These are photos of me that a friend of mine took. The low lighting adds a dramatic effect.
This is my cat Luna. I love her very much. She is something I love.
This is a photo of 2 people painted in the texture and image of a chameleon. These are real people posing in this position to create the chameleon.Ā
Marina AbramoviÄ is a Serbian performance artist. Her work often involves the human body and relationships between artists and audience. She was raised in Serbia, first by her grandmother until the age of 6, when she moved in with her parents and newborn brother. She was beaten by her mother growing up and had no freedom from her parents as a adult until she left her husband and moved to Amsterdam. The first piece she performed was āRhythm 10ā² in 1973. She played the Russian Knife Game in which one stabs the space between their fingers on a table with a knife. She recorded the sounds of the piece then tried to replicate it, cutting herself and all. This was the beginning of her work with the limitations of the human mind and body during performance.
Now, he is based in New York and is 69 years old. One of her more recent works is āThe Artist Is Presentā (2010) which was an exhibit held at MoMA. During this exhibit, AbramoviÄ sat motionless and silent for a total 736.5 hours over the run of the exhibit. As she sat, audience members were invited to sit in a chair opposite her while she maintained eye contact the entire time. 1,545 people ended up sitting across from her over the span of the exhibit including many celebrities.
The video I have included is of AbramoviÄās famous 1975 piece, āArt Must Be Beautiful, Artist Must Be Beautifulā.
The first image is of The Crucible at Henderson State University.
The second image is from Into The Woods at University of Mary Washington.
Both used gobos to texture the light and cool colors. Into the Woods used more of a mixture of warm and cool colors to reflect the mood of the show.

This is a turquoise stone. I chose it because I am very interested by the vivid color and texture of this stone. I would use this as a design for costume or lighting.Ā
These are photos of one of my favorite places and it gives me lots of great feelings. The colors are really like that in person and itās inspirational for visual, performance, and written art. This is Hidden Villa, a small valley that is a farm and redwoods hiking area hidden in a full circle of hills.
This photo was taken at Portola Redwoods and it serves as my inspiration and reference when thinking about and creating things that are set in nature. The focus is in the very center of the bottom third of the photo, the darkest point in the picture.
I chose three photos of interiors that blended traditionally interior items and images with traditionally exterior items (plants).
These three are views from above volcanoes.
The first image is of Mount Fuji.
The second is Mount Cleveland.
The third is Mount Saint Helens.

The very first photo I took myself in Roarinā Camp, CA. I enjoy the perspective because it emphasizes how small the tall redwoods make me feel. The spray can photo was aesthetically pleasing to me as I really like the bright colors and high contrast, as well as the well done forced perspective. The second forced perspective photo was clever and had a really good use of red as a popping color. The last photo is an example of what happens when someone tries to take a forced perspective photo and fails to execute it correctly.
These photos are of exceptionally tiny or large items that I found interesting. The tiny animals (whether real or edited) are placed near other small items that we presumably know the average size of to show how small the tiny animals are.
The large items are both art pieces placed into normal everyday spaces and near humans to show how extremely large they are
