I just started watching The Last Ship, a series on Netflix about a global pandemic and a navy destroyer ship that is on a mission to find a cure while the rest of the world order/governments have collapsed.
There is a dog on the ship and I had to look up if the dog dies before I keep watching. The internet says that the dog survives the whole series.
Also, the show stars Eric Dane who passed away from ALS last year 😞

Holy shit I just had to call the IRS because we have a payment plan for taxes owed, but I noticed in the online IRS records it shows that our June payment was $128 but our bank account was charged the $150 that is our actual payment amount.
I went through the whole automated thing to establish why I was calling and verifying identity and then it told me that the call volume was too high to take my call and to try again later and then disconnected me!!!
Not even a fucking call back option like most places offer!
It said to try on another day!
What the actual fuck?? It’s August! How is there such a high call volume today that I can’t even be placed on hold or a call back list???

real talk, i saw this other vid 7 years ago where a trainer like this lady gave some of the most important physical health advice I ever heard that changed my life:
#1. You should be able to lay down on the floor (face down or back) and be able to get up without your hands. If you can't? Spend a little bit every day just doing that, laying on the floor and getting up again no hands style, then laying down again (you'd be surprised how fast it wears you out after a few times)
#2. You should be able to get up out of a chair without using your hands or grabbing on to anything. Can't? Fucking start training mother fucker! Just a few uppies every day could save your damn life when you get older!
#3. You should be able to turn your neck to the side without twisting your upper body in the same direction, you should be able to turn your head freely without moving your shoulders, chest or torso! Start looking up loosy goosy neck exercises! It makes such a HUGE difference!
#4. You should be able to motherfucking stand on one foot and keep your balance for longer then 15 seconds. Haha sounds easy right? Thats what I thought when I tried after watching that vid, i was horrified to find how hard it was! I started doing "one leggy style" standing any chance I got, when I'm in line somewhere, when I'm watching a video... just do a few rounds of 10 seconds on each leg for like 5 min every day!
You get older and you think you still have all the same limberness as you did when you were 8, but whens the last fucking time you ran around and played like an 8 year old? You loose that flexibility so subtlety and then one day when you need it? BAM ITS GONE
Start getting into these habits now, i don't care if you're 18/25/30/45/50 OR WHATEVER JUST START YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

The apartment complex next door apparently hired someone to cut some big limbs off the tree in the front of the complex, but not to clean up.
There are two huge limbs on the grass and debris all over the place. They didn’t even sweep up some small branches and debris that is all over the sidewalk. Like what the fuck?!
Maybe they’ll come back tomorrow to clean up, but I highly doubt it.
I’m just glad the branches didn’t crash into our trees or fence as they came down.

I don't understand how Jared Leto keeps getting cast in movies? Like it would be one thing if he was a major box office draw, but he just seems to be a creepy rapist who has been in bomb after bomb after bomb.
I think about this so much. He's box office poison AND a sexual menace AND annoying to work with. HOW IS HE GETTING WORK?
I genuinely wonder if he or his agent have dirt on somebody, you know?
This is like the diametric opposite of Keanu Reeves.
(Some of you all may be too young to remember, but before the Matrix Keanu Reeves was not a big time star. And people would occasionally ask on various internet forums, "Why does Keanu Reeves keep getting work? He's a so-so actor. By Hollywood standards he's only average looking. His name isn't big enough to draw people. Why is he getting cast in so many movies?" And the answer would always be: producers loved him. If he was in your movie he would show up every day, on time, sober, with his lines memorized, ready to work. He never caused drama with the cast or crew. He was genuinely a pleasure to work with. And so he kept getting parts.)
(And of course after the Matrix he was a big name who could sell tickets, and his acting kept getting better, and he's one of those people who grow into their looks and he's a lot more handsome now than he was in his 20s. But by all accounts he's still a pleasure to work with.)
Yep! Being a professional will get you cast/hired in ways that talent won't if you suck to work with. This is known. Obviously that's not universal, but.

When I was in acting school one of my teachers made sure to always emphasize how important professionalism and preparedness were in being successful in such a fickle industry.
She talked about commercial acting and how always being incredibly prepared for any job, no matter how small, made an impression on producers and built up her reputation as someone good to work with, and casting agents want to bring in people who made everyone’s lives easier.
Basically you never want to be the person who holds up production because there are so many moving parts and being known as the one who causes problems will not get you more jobs as an unknown, working actor.

I know it makes me like, the most Basic of Bitches, but I still enjoy the OG run of all the Marvel/Avengers movies.
Captain America was my absolute favorite for quite a while and his first movie, the one set during World War II, is a great movie! I love all his movies!
Yeah, the movies got kind of sloppy towards the end and were so much about having Big Moments and were a little bloated with all the characters they had to shove in.
But they were fun! And it was fun to see a bunch of the storylines get wrapped up in the last Avengers movie.
Also Wanda’s TV show was exceptional. Plus it gave us Agatha All Along, and Kathryn Hahn is a treasure.

I finally used a timer to see how what the difference is between using the new automated workflow for a repetitive administrative task I often do versus doing it manually.
With the system lag that comes with running a customized automation flow in SharePoint and the few manual bits I still have to do because the system can’t do exactly what we need the “AI enhanced process” takes: 1 minute 15 seconds.
Doing the entire thing manually takes: 41 seconds.
If I’m doing other stuff, I’ll use the automated flow and get back to finalizing the item after it’s processed when I have time.
If I’m doing a bunch of those tasks in a row, which happens sometimes, I’ll do it manually, because it’s just faster!
