I dunno how accurate to canon this is but I want more fics that explore Jet with a savior complex. And not like,how is usually explored in media as like something noble or a self-destructive sadness (think Steven from SU) though that would be interesting too. I want him angry. He's mad that his childhood and family were stolen from him. He's mad that the world turned its back on him and other kids like him. He's mad that there was no one there to protect him so now he's going to do everything he can to protect people who suffered like he did. ''I'll do whatever it takes to save everyone. Some people may be hurt now,but this will save everyone in the long run'' That way of thinking.

The set of all story changes that could improve atla is pretty small at least compared to the vast majority of stories, but I think one of the members of that set has to be if Jet and Zuko made out before Jet found out Zuko's from the fire nation

insane about the fact that zuko and jet have matching arcs where they don’t know what they are without their anger and they suffer insane identity crises from their worldviews changing

jet and hama deserves so much more than what their endings were. how the fuck did OZAI get a better ending? never made sense to me.

Richboy Zuko is so funny to me, like wdym he immediately resorts to a life of crime when he doesn't have a good time

jet’s weapons being completely unique and adapted to his life in the trees and being able to grab things from a distance. his weapons and armor being clearly pieced together from scraps by himself. his fighting style unlike anyone else’s in the show and you know that he invented it and taught himself how to fight, seemingly in a matter of years, and seemingly from nothing. jet being one of the only characters without formal training or guidance, just a tragic past and a reason to fight so he learned. jet still being able to hold his own against multiple benders, against entire battalions of trained adult soldiers. jet never backing down from a fight. never even thinking twice.

I cannot believe that there are so little ATLA Jet/Zuko fics set in Ba Sing Se where Jin also isn’t completely sidelined as a character… the three of them should be friends…

I’ve decided I ship Jetko bc it would be so fucking funny if the next time the gaang ran into Jet it was with Zuko at the Western Air Temple. The two most unbearable guys you know want to join your found family and you have to let them or risk looking homophobic

yes anyway expanding on my previous post. i am obviously in love with jetko vigilante partners in ba sing se. and then of course things get fucked when zuko gets revealed as a firebender (and perhaps even more fucked in the future, when he gets revealed as like. THE firebender) but!! consider jetko vigilante partners but it's actually jet and the BLUE SPIRIT vigilante partners. so jet is unaware that his partner in vigilantism is the cute tea shop boy from the ferry so we get a TRIPLE identity reveal of blue spirit -> lee -> firebender lee -> prince zuko of the fire nation
