In July 2013, high-ranking Neo-Umbrella operatives hidden in the US government's Department of Security Operations retrieve a severely infected - but alive - Piers Nivans from Chinese waters. After months of experimentation and a C-Virus cure synthesized from Jake Muller's antibodies, Piers - with hardly any memory of his former life, fitted with a high-tech prosthetic arm, and assigned the codename Fox - is a model US asset, assigned to "help" DSO Agent Leon S. Kennedy eradicate remaining Neo-Umbrella strongholds and eliminate the C-Virus. Unbeknownst to him, Fox's true mission is to feed intel on DSO operations back to Neo-Umbrella, but as he and Leon get to know each other, Neo-Umbrella's control slips and secrets begin to come to light. Meanwhile, Chris is just miserable and sad because he thinks Piers is dead. Sorry Chris. It'll be okay. (Eventual Nivannedyfield)
