what programs do you use? also, do you draw shadows on a low opacity multiply layer or do you use raw color??

I use Ibispaint X and I do a mix of both for shading tbh. Sometimes I can get it how i want with just raw colors, but most times I use low opacity multiply layers / overlay layers. I use gradients too, especially for backgrounds or if I want to add dimension to clothing and I'm feeling lazy lol!!!
I just started using my Ipad to draw, but i've found the colors show up wayy more saturated on there than they do on phones😭😭 So i send the finished piece to my phone and i play around with the colors on an app called Prequel (upping the saturation so it matches what's on my Ipad screen, and sometimes I use their mist tool to give my lineart more of a fuzzy look!), but any editing app works for that.
If you have any other questions lmk! I'm working on answering art stuff better lol because I usually struggle with explaining things :)
