Not ready for Elysium to be over :( I’m going to miss these characters so much. I think I’ve gotten a lot stronger of a grasp on how to play Marigold over the past 8 sessions and I do wish I had more time to learn about everyone else’s stories in character. I think at one point an idea was floated of a mini where some people have memory of what happened originally? Which I would enjoy but I’m not sure how serious of an idea it was. I do feel that today is going to be a good conclusion though, and I’m very excited for it.
I do think about what would have happened if Marigold stayed human. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy with where things went with Mari’s development as a vampire. She’s had a lot more of a direct route away from her cult programming, and there’s been more of a direct struggle with her morality. Ashwick would call her a demon if they saw her now.
I’d assume I’d be interacting more with the humans. Cults commonly try to get people to talk about their own issues to guilt/blackmail people into following them, which would have been a fun way to learn more about the backstories of people (I was in vc when dewdrop was mentioned to be a bounty hunter??? That’s so cool!???). Without Foxglove’s influence, it probably would have taken a little longer for Mari to work through the cult stuff, if she would at all. I can see her either leaning on Robert for similar (“Let greed find you,” is one of the last things Hunger said to Marigold, and she’d have found it, vampire or not.) or going full “these sanguine are demons from hell and need to be saved/staked.”
I feel like this is long enough to require a closing paragraph. Elysium is great! I’m excited to see what we do next(I say, knowing what we will do next)! I will miss the vampires characters a lot and will hopefully start putting the videos out soon. Just have to make them first.
