I’m not normal about Snape and I don’t want to be normal about Snape!
Actual bad shit will happen to me, and I’ll brush it off like it’s nothing, but a sad edit of my favorite character will bring me to tears and make my whole day gloomy.
ai will literally straight up say "I can make mistakes :)" and be accepted by millions of companies worldwide. meanwhile you'll either get fired or get your resume thrown into a trash can if you, as a human being, make one slight mistake or are not always performing perfectly

I hate making friends irl because I have to actually introduce myself instead of just directing them to my intro post.
i love people who love evil characters without feeling the need to defend them! i love it when people love their characters evil and nasty and vile in all the ways they can be, from the regular stuff to the taboo, and can confidently say it without having to defend their horrible, nasty, vile actions. i love people who don't feel the need to woobify their favourite characters. i love people who don't try to twist the bad deeds of a character into good deeds with wild leaps of logic just to have reason to like them. i love people who don't try to iron out all the bad deeds of their favourite characters to like them, essentially defanging them and their actions and making them boring. i love people who know their favourite characters are manipulative and self serving and who love them for that because it makes them just as complex as their good qualities. i love people who leave room for their favourite characters to be flawed and intricately complex in every way. i love people who are secure enough that they understand you do not have to vehemently defend the terrible actions of a character to love them. i love you all, you're so rad and interesting and smart.
I miss when instagram was actually a photo sharing app with cool filters and you could actually scroll endlessly without seeing any ads
Honestly, I absolutely love this parallel
I’m normal about him I swear

As anti-AI as I am, whether we're talking about fanfiction or art, I don't think we should be going to other people's blogs to harass them. Let them tag their work as AI-generated, and the people who want to engage with that kind of content will, while those who don't can simply avoid it. I think that's a better approach than shaming. Otherwise, people will just stop tagging their AI content to avoid harassment, and then we'll end up with a witch hunt instead.
Whoopsie daisy! Just realized all my recent posts have been about Snape.
Snape is my ride or die, as in, if I don’t ride him immediately, I will literally die.
I deadass saw someone in a comment section say, "People who like Snape need to have their hard drives checked because they're all creeps." Can we please stop acting like it's morally wrong to like a fictional character? It's okay if you don't like a character, but it's also okay for other people to like that same character. I've seen so many people receive nasty comments and get harassed over this, and I've always found it so childish (especially when you see adults doing it). Also, this goes both ways! I have no respect for anyone who thinks it's okay to harass other people over such minuscule things.
This is a problem in Snape fandom too. Where they act as if liking James, Sirius and Lily is morally bad (Remus is rarely criticized from what i have seen and it makes me mad.....that is topic for another day). Like it's ok to not like them but they truly become demons in Snape centric fics a lot of time.....
Yeah, it’s definitely an issue that occurs on both sides, and I mentioned that in my original post. I personally would never judge or criticize someone based on the fictional characters they like or dislike; I’ll only ever judge someone based on who they are as a person.
When it comes to fics, I mainly read x readers and never any Marauders-era fics (just not my thing personally), so I’ve never personally read any like that, but I am aware they exist. That being said, I don’t personally care how people choose to portray characters in fanfiction, since it doesn’t change what happened in canon (which is what I care about when it comes to lore), and I don’t have to read it if I don’t like it.
As long as people are being civil and can agree to disagree, I don’t care who/what they like and dislike when it comes to fiction, but I will never condone harassment on either side.

"People who like Snape clearly didn't read the books." "Snape was so much worse in the books." That's not going to work on me. I like him even more in the books.
