What is the origin of your blog name?
I came up with it as a username when I was 12. It's my three favorite animals: DOLPHins, ELEphants, and CATs. Pronounced doll-FELL-eh-cat. I still like it, so I still use it. Also, it's pretty much guaranteed not to be taken as a username. Shout out to Tom Mayo for being the only person to ever figure out the elephant part without being told!
What’s your “I will always order this” food?
It depends on the restaurant, but I'm going to say grilled cheese. If the restaurant has a version of grilled cheese, I will order it. If it does not, I may ask for them to make one for me. I may get looked at like a freak for making this request.
What’s your overused emoji?
💜 I tend to use it when I have no idea what to say, and then I feel bad about that.
What’s your current comfort show/movie/book?
It's interesting you say "current," because I have been going through a difficult time recently. The show to which I've turned is not one I would normally list in answer to a comfort media question: The Apothecary Diaries! It's an anime about a girl with skills as an apothecary who unwillingly becomes instrumental in the imperial palace.

What’s the last thing you hyperfixated on?
I have hyperfixated on Shoot From The Hip!! They are British improvise comedians. You should absolutely check them out. They're hilarious!
What’s an oddly specific thing that brings you joy?
I'm blanking here, so I'm going to go with something seasonal. For as long as I can remember, my family has had what is called Santa's Musical Toy Chest. I found a picture on Google.
It's a music box that plays a bunch of different songs. Those little figures with mallets actually hit the metal bars next to them to create the music. The music isn't a recording or anything. I love this so much!! Yesterday I opened it up for "just one song" and ended up sitting there staring at it for a full 15 minutes.
What smell instantly makes you happy?
Freshly baked cookies. That seems like such a cliche answer, and I don't even have a justification about fond memories of baked cookies. I mean, several members of my family did bake cookies, so maybe that's influenced it, but the smell just makes me happy.
What’s something you loved as a kid that you secretly love now?
I had to think about this, because I'm not secretive about most things that I like that are considered "childish." I guess the closest answer would be Barney the Dinosaur. Perhaps because I never went to public school, I never got exposed to the Barney hate that other people talk about participating in as older kids. However, I am aware that it exists, so I don't talk about it. I wouldn't say I regularly watch Barney as an adult, but when I'm in the right mood, I can rewatch some shows, and I still genuinely enjoy some of the songs.

Are you a morning person, night owl, or something else entirely?
Night owl. This is a problem as the world doesn't work that way. Right now I'm on vacation and happily staying up later and waking up later. It'll be hard to readjust.
Lastly, if you work, what is your work profession? And do you like it?
I'm a court reporter or court stenographer. I use a steno machine to write in shorthand every word that is spoken in a court proceeding. I can later use these shorthand notes to create a transcript. I do like my job! It's very interesting. Also, obligatory IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSION PLEASE CHECK IT OUT WE NEED MORE COURT REPORTERS PLEASE PLEASE
