She has eyes on that boy nearly 24/7. I don't care if she's ladybug and thus is often busy when he's transformed, we know they solo patrol, and also he talks to Plagg between fights and such. You honestly think that Marinette, who knows his entire schedule years out, who has stolen his phone at least once, who absolutely can, and probably has, breached Agreste manors security to watch him through his window, hasn't seen him transform or at least talk to Plagg at least once?

At the very least she has to believe he has a secret of some kind. Or an imaginary friend. Or something. Like, Mari is on this boy 24/7.

I am desperatly ravenous for an AU where Mari discovers Adrien is Chat, but then before she can tell him, gets violently reminded of how much Chat hates dissapointing her, and that "failing" her by not being able to keep his idnetity secret would devastate him. Also if Fu finds out then he can't be Chat anymore and she now knows this is his only escape from his dads control. So she just.... desperately pretends she doesn't know.

Why focus on Marinette's grief over Adrien's? Well, with Roland, it was about anticipatory grief. About knowing the end for a loved one is coming and being unable to do anything about it. Something that's distinct from losing a loved one due to an unforeseen accident.

Even with Emilie, Adrien had time to get use to life without her so the end didn't hurt as much. Gabriel was much like a tragic accident from his perspective. As someone who lost family I had complicated feelings over, I can tell you that sort of thing is a world of difference here.

That's not even getting into how Adrien's clearly been bottling up his emotions and only acted on them with the mask of Chat Noir destroying the statue. It's something of a character flaw stemming from having to live up to the model image his father set for him. Something he's yet to full unlearn. Marinette wears her feelings on her sleeve even when she tries not to by comparison.

Hell, those feeling Roland's death came out of nowhere? Yeah, it did. Just like in real life when older loved ones are taken away. Someone in my family just died out of nowhere. Sorry if I sound ticked off but where was the narrative build-up for that?

And miss me with Roland being racism. THAT WAS AN ALLEGORY VIA BREAD BAKING! He doesn't say anything derogatory even off handedly to Sabine or Marinette, his biracial granddaughter. Even if he was of an old way of thinking, that doesn't mean he can't have loved one who see past it.

that theory has been largely discounted because the Deccan Traps erupted around a million years before the meteor hit, and yet we see no decrease in fossil diversity in this period like we would expect if this caused the great extinction. Chicxulub is still the reigning champ of abrupt end-times, I'm afraid.

but this is probably because, unlike the Siberian Traps that accelerated the end-Permian Great Dying, the Deccan Traps were relatively slow! they did release absolutely staggering amounts of magma, but spread out over a period of like 800,000 years or so. life more or less just went on around it, presumably dodging the enormous surface pools of lava and plumes of toxic gas.

however there is a significantly more terrifying theory out there now that suggests that the Deccan Traps DID play into the end-cretaceous extinction event.... because the Chicxulub Impactor rattled the entire planet so hard that it caused almost every volcano on earth to erupt at the same time, including the Traps.

So I've watched this video and had to draw my interpretation of most of it º ω º )

Research out of both Harvard and U of Wisconsin suggests that stress is only bad for you when paired with the belief that it's bad for you!

it's so MMH🤌🏻 the lighting is so good and Marinette's expression is so detailed, and I love how the light highlights her brow crease and under-eye bags.

1- Give closure to Sabrina's character. Even if Sabrina has changed and moved on, she didn't fully resolved everything about her own fallout with Chloé. If I recall, the last time Chloé and Sabrina talked was during Confrontation (S5-Ep21). In the next episode, Collusion, it was the silence treatment between the two. Now that some time has passed and Sabrina has an actual occasion to talk peacefully to Chloé face to face - not online - and extends the olive branch, knowing that rejection was a possibility.

2- The episode is also allowing some due update on Chloé's character since she has left. Showcasing that her life in London isn't doing her any good. In fact, Chloé living with her mother and Noé is making her worse. Much worse.

3- It was an opportunity to show how Noé and Audrey are actually using Chloé for their own agenda. And Chloé is apparently unaware of it. In fact, from the looks of it, she seems to think the opposite. That Noé is working for her.

4- We now have the confirmation that Chloé is fully isolated. She has a crew but they are very compliant and won't pose any opposition. In other words, Chloé has no trusted ally who could warn her, or questions her family's actions. And Chloé is also rejecting any external help.

5- The episode allows Noé to get his hands on a Miracle Charm. Last time a villain did that, it was used against Ladybug, by using the quantic signature of her charm to locate her.
