    "Well, whatever... I guess I'll leave you alone, but only 'cause you're such a jerk who clearly has a stick stuck up his you know what," Rana acquiesces... only, before she could even take three steps, she then hears a raspy feminine voice call out to him, causing her to stop dead in her tracks.

    "Why, hello there, handsome~ Are you out here alone all by your poor lonesome?" she hears it say, and by the time she turns around, she spots a middle aged woman who was clearly drunk off her mind clasping the man's arm.

ㅤㅤ" Tch, some friends those are. " Grumbled beneath a tired breath— one that made it clear he wanted to be anywhere but here. The girl had barely spoken a single sentence to him, but Beau had never been much of a ' people person. ' A few members of his family were quick to point this out and teased him relentlessly about his lack of a love life as a result. What did he care for that, though ? It's not like any of them had the most stable relationship to be preaching to him in the first place.

    "Right?! They're such heartless jerks, I swear!" Rana rambles. ...Needless to say, it seemed she was clearly under the impression he was mistakenly on her side. Though, with how Rana herself was never exactly the sharpest knife in the shed, she would automatically give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

    The moment he next spoke, however, she'll then blink, only to suddenly feel awkward upon realizing he never really cared in the first place despite having badmouthed her friends. By that point, Rana soon glances off towards the side, wondering if perhaps starting a conversation with him hadn't been the greatest move on her part.

    "Er... the last time I did that, I just managed to get even more lost... not to mention a flower pot nearly fell on my head while I was running away from a crazy drunkard, so something tells me I should just stay here until a taxi comes. Yeah, based off of personal experiences, that would totally be way safer than getting inside a stranger's car," she goes on to idly nod.

    "Tch. You're such a pain in the ass," Akira clicks his tongue with teeth naturally gritted as he slams a fist into an open palm. Of course, he had wondered why he suddenly received a phone call from an irate man he never met earlier that day, but he should have known Seiji had a hand in allegedly pissing off somebody's girlfriend, to the point where her lover was now out to get him.

    Still, hearing his pleas for mercy eventually had him lower his arms back down along his sides, because despite how tempted he was to punch his best friend, he did promise to cut him some slack for the next four days. To that end, Akira figures he should at least hear Seiji out... before socking him in the throat anyways.

"I---You know what, sure. Whatever floats your boat." It seemed like his skull was thicker than any meteor out in space, so why bother trying to convince him otherwise? It's not as if she'd budge on her stance with wannabe cassanova here. It's almost as if he only knew how to spew generic romantic gestures and not much else. Apart of her felt sorry for Kobato.

The amount of second hand embarrassment she was feeling was immeasurable, and she hoped no one was in ear shot of this entire conversation, or she might as well disappear into the mountains for eternity over this. The demon could not believe another human being could exist like this, but here she was. Having the unfortunate pleasure of being wound up in whatever this was. "Kobato you have got to slow down and watch how you speak to women--" Yuko shakes her head at this. She clearly wasn't too deep into her cups for this. But, she will give him something for that smile, it was a bit cute.

    "Eh?! You mean ta tell me you don't know what WIRE even is when everyone and their mother pretty much uses it these days?!" came his incredulous query. Granted, Kobato himself could relate to being slightly out of the loop as he was comatose for five years of his life, but even then, he didn't think he was that technologically inept. "No way... how do ya even regularly keep in touch with folks if you don't have one?" Sure enough, he proceeds to shake his head in utter disbelief, for it didn't occur to him someone could actually not have WIRE installed on their phone.

"Yu-chan...?" She mumbled in disbelief. Already with pet names? He either is truly smitten or has the biggest exercise balls the world has ever seen--to even address her so fondly in a public setting should be some sort of death sentence. She was a bit oblivious to romance, but that's not say a barrage of any attempts would affect her, but she quickly grew a sort of resistance to it. "Ko-chan-- er. Kobato-san. Are you hearing yourself? Or me?" Yuko would wave a hand in front of him, to gauge some sort of focus from him.

It didn't take long for her to face palm, rub her temples. All of that. A rather obvious groan resounds from the demon, wishing she had just stayed put in her room today. "I admire your spirit, I really, really do. But you can't just...expect to hit on the first person who's breathing within a 3 mile radius of you, to fall for you. These things...er.." She's gesturing with her hands now, they of course make no sense, and with barely any credibility in the romance department, she tries to impart some wisdom.

    "Say no more, my sweet honey bunny! Since patience is king, I'll keep gunning for your heart until I finally manage to score a date with you," Kobato then flashes her a wide, toothy grin... making it rather apparent that if Yuko did not set forth any boundaries, he'll continue pestering her for as long as they both lived. "And hey, if we ever do end up in second base, that would be pretty swell too! For now, though, I'll get to know ya both inside and out," he adds with a wink, only to pause upon soon realizing something... and that something, of course, happened to be the fact he doesn't yet have her WIRE information.

    “  You look like you’re ready to make butter, “ he snorts, fiddling with the script in his hands. It wasn’t for him— it’s for @causalitylinked. He’s been helping her out for some time for the play she was assigned to do. Souma skimmed through it at least five times as if that’ll help him remember the bare minimal lines that Rana had. Huh. Why was it such a small amount? He doesn’t understand; Rana’s good at acting, hell, Bugsby thinks so too! “ Is this really a grade? For you? When it’s like… only five words that you have to say,” he glanced down at the paper, Rana’s parts highlighted in yellow. Is she this nervous? It’s not even a thirty minute play! 

“ I think that teacher has no idea what they’re doing, “ the project should be equally divided among all participants. He can understand why she would feel nervous ( even if she didn’t seem like it? ), but, the more he keeps staring at the paper makes him realize that there’s other people that had a good five chunks more lines than Rana. Unfair.

“ Hey, Rana? “ He has to know. Silly, yeah, he just can’t hold back the curiosity that was in his mind. “ Did you want more lines or… are you fine with the bare minimum of them? I mean, I know it’s just a short play, you’re really good at what you do—” She’s damn good at it, too.  A faint gargle meow caught his attention, mismatched hues looked down to see Bugsby trotting his way inside of the living room, brushing by his ankle. So distracting. He just lost his train of thought— damn it. “ Bugsby, you made me forget what I was going to say to Rana!” He groaned, setting the paper off on the coffee table in exchange of hoisting this plump familiar off the floor. Bugsby’s already burrowing his face right into Souma’s chest, purring loudly, such a spoiled little guy.

    Souma's next question, though, soon has her lips pursing into a thin line. "Gee, you really think so?" came her query, for while the thought had occurred to her too, this was the first time she had someone actually voice that opinion aloud, to the point where she essentially had been gas-lit into thinking this wasn't such a big deal by her classmates earlier. "W-Well... it's not like I can complain much when we've gotten three transfer students this year! I mean, knowing Tanaka-sensei, he probably doesn't wanna rock the boat by constantly giving me the lead role," she attempts to reason.

    Still, Rana would be lying if she said she wasn't starting to question the drama teacher's decision of giving everyone else more lines than her... yet either way, before Souma could finish voicing aloud his train of thought, they were soon interrupted by Bugsby's adorable, attention seeking behaviour, a sight that soon makes her expression crinkle as a giddy grin subsequently sprouts along her lips.

              “ Pokebuddies sounds childish anyway — “ he waved him off with his free hand. No, Nagi Seishiro didn’t give a shit about the franchise, he didn’t even bother to look at it when in his younger adolescent days. He couldn’t because his parents had a ‘ restricted internet time ‘ with him. That’s when he started to realize how boring his damn folks were. “ Convince me enough that it is worth my time, then, I’ll reconsider it.” 

Ashamed to be in the same generation as him? What the fuck did that even mean? Nagi’s convinced  that his guy poses himself to be way more mature than what he should be. They’re the same age, they have to be, unless he’s proclaimed a genius that skipped a few grades. Good for him, he thinks, keeping hold onto the book in his hand. Waiting for it to get taken out of his grasp. Bingo. Nagi noticed the change in his gaze, akin to a child seeing a damn toy that they wanted their whole life. Childish.

“ I don’t want your money, it’s fine,” he would rather take Reo’s money ( out of friendship ) than some strangers. 50,000 yen sounds… tempting. That can get him enough pulls to get whatever the hell he wants. Man, he’d have to take care of all his living expenses first before splurging on a shitty gacha game. “ … though I think you’d be a good asset on a few raids for me. If you’re good at them, I don’t want scrubs in my static,” he was hinting that he played games, mostly shooting ones, but he’s been spending some time on Final Fantasy XIV whenever he has down time ( he has plenty of time for that game when soccer isn’t his priority. )

    "...Very well then. However, on the off chance you become destitute from spending an exorbitant sum of money on frivolous things such as fictional women you may or may not have a parasocial relationship with, I will not be liable for any buyer's remorse you will quite likely face," he states. Granted, Ryuto has no way of actually knowing what spending habits the boy has, but he could at the very least conclude he wasn't exactly popular with the opposite sex; therefore, it wouldn't surprise him if he played games that were considered 'waifu bait' due to the fact he couldn't score a real girlfriend to save his own life.

    Either way, it doesn't take long for his expression to soon grow blank and deadpan the moment the boy not only brought up terminology relating to 'gamers', but asked about whether or not he played MMORPGS.

    "First, you have the audacity to call Pokébuddies childish and now, you hope to enlist my help with your gaming shenanigans? Your lack of common sense and social ineptitude at this point is tremendously astounding," Ryuto wastes no time pointing out. Granted, he may not exactly be neurotypical himself, but still, he was at least proficient enough with masking, to the point where he could convince others he was pleasantly amiable if he wanted to. "Furthermore, do I look to be the sort of basement dweller to waste my time playing MMORPGS, when I could better stimulate my brain by playing shogi instead?" came his next incredulous query.

    Truth be told, Ryuto never had much interest when it came to games that weren't for, quote on quote, 'smart people', because well... to put it frankly, he was a member of the intellectual elite, meaning he spent most of his time studying or investing in hobbies his parents would approve of and would somehow turn him into a more well rounded person, whether that be through debate, reading, or shogi. Then again, the boy did help him find a manga... not to mention he also wasn't completely apathetic to other peoples' plight either, so sooner rather than later, he'll find himself heaving out a sigh.

    "...Yeah, I could easily whip that up," Akira acknowledges at long last before eventually lowering his hand back down along his side and ambling his way over to the staircase so he could ascend it. "Since I do still have onions, carrots, potatoes, and sukiyaki beef lying around in my fridge, I could make a version without shirataki noodles using the pot Aunt Natsumi gave me last year," he finds himself musing out loud while climbing up each step. Naturally, it would be nothing all that special... just your average, run of the mill nikujaga using standard Japanese ingredients, but with Ami being rather easy to please, he doesn't doubt she'll over-exaggerate how delicious it was; after all, that girl already makes it sound like he was some excellent five star chef, even though their meals only ever consisted of simple stir frys, hamburger steak, omurice, and less complicated Japanese dishes.
