catalina has never known a hard life. the only child of a well-off business man and a stay at home mother who had more hobbies than time for her daughter, she grew up with nannies, given whatever she wanted to make up for the lack of affection from her parents. she didn't mind. she was her father's little princess, she had him wrapped around her finger from the day she was born and she knew how to keep him there. straight as as she got older, joining every school club she could possibly juggle, never a hair out of place, never a bad word from a teacher. of course, her reputation was only perfect because she smart enough to keep it that way, only partying out of town, making sure if she was caught getting wasted whoever spotted her was paid enough to keep their mouth shut. habits that carried over into her adult life as she began to make a name for herself outside of that sad town she was raised in. from the day she graduated she had a job, first working in mr. blanco's office but shortly after she talked her father into hiring her as his social media manager for all of his accounts, firing whoever was already in charge of all of that... for far more money than the work she did was worth. as long as his baby girl was happy. since graduation she's been traveling on his money, making sure the accounts are updated enough it seems like she's working hard while working on her own social media presence more, involving herself in charity work wherever she can, skimming a little money rom her father's business if she really needs to, for a new pair of shoes or to keep her name spotless. when she heard about the request for guest speakers, cat didn't have to think for half a second about coming back home. mostly to show off how well she's doing in life, to brag... and also out of curiosity. if catalina is being honest, college was the last time she felt any ounce of realness, the last time she stared at her reflection and actually recognized the woman staring back. she did care about some other students, and if they show up, maybe the walk down memory lane would be nice. besides, she had to make sure the secret about chris — so long ago now she'd practically forgotten about it — never came out and threatened her shining hollow future.
