Aaron deserves to get to say his piece properly - about how awful the last 6 years without Robert have been, about how he chose Robert over his family when they were planning to run and then about how he kept trying to choose Robert when he was planning to break him out, yet in his eyes Robert’s choice was the opposite, it was to get as far away from him as possible and cut him off completely when he knew that one of Aaron’s insecurities was that no one stays. I think Robert was right in that choice, but in him making it on his own he took all agency away from Aaron and left him basically alone and powerless. And now Robert is back again, and he’s obviously got his own shit to deal with and he’s trying to do better and sort himself out and follow Aaron’s lead but then slips into trying to make choices for him again and of course all that is going to do is push Aaron away because Robert’s made enough decisions for him thank you very much and even if he wanted to get back together with him he’s now married John who he thinks he owes so much to and there’s no way he can trust Robert with his heart again after the last time completely broke him. Like I reckon Aaron has always known deep down that John was never going to be as important to Aaron as Robert is, he could never love him as much or in anywhere near the same way or intensity, but that he was thinking that that meant that John was surely a safer and better option because that way no matter what happens you can never be that broken again. You can never feel that powerless again. And of course it all goes tits up because that’s Aaron’s life and now the choice that he made to partially protect himself has resulted in deaths, kidnappings and injuries (mack I refuse to believe you’re dead!!) and so now he has to deal with the guilt as well as everything else.

And then on Robert’s side he firstly deserves to get to say I told you so to absolutely every fucker in that village. Like I want to be seeing many apologies! Then I want to hear him talk about his time in prison and start working through his PTSD with people supporting him. I’m hoping we get to hear more about what he went through and about how divorcing Aaron was a hard and gut wrenching choice but that he honestly thought Aaron’s life would be better without him in it and that making that choice also meant he suffered, but that in his head he’d made the choice for the best reason and so he had to stick with it. And that then when he was free he was truly going to leave Aaron alone if that was what Aaron truly wanted (after shooting his shot at the wedding ofc) until John threatened him and so he only turned up because he was worried. And his worry only resulted in his PTSD getting worse and being treated like shit as everyone was immediately happy to think the worst of him.

Anyway I’ve definitely lost the plot on what I was rambling on about but basically I’m hoping for some proper emotional scenes where Danny and Ryan get to continue acting their asses off.
