People are mass cancelling their Netflix accounts, and posting a screenshot of their cancellation confirmation on Twitter with the hashtah “CancelNetflix”. There is a petition going around, i’m gonna put the link to that in the replies, along with the Discord link if people wanna join.

Also just as a little reminder, Manifest was cancelled, but Netflix gave it a last season cause fans were very vocal about it. One day at a time got saved by fans. Wynonna Earp too. Sense8 got a final 2 hours special after fan outrage at its cancellation. Lucifer was supposed to be cancelled too, and they got a chance at a last season to close their storyline. If you don’t want to fight it’s okay, you deserve to grieve in peace, but if you want to give Netflix shit and fight for it? There’s hope. We could have something. 

the difference between how white mlm shows are treated vs how wlw and poc shows are treated should and has to be talked about.

They will do zero promotion and then blame the cancellation on the low views (even if the show did fucking great), when in fact they never had the intention to renew the show.

They can hide behind their stupid reasons all they want, but the truth is they don't give a flying fuck about wlw storylines that are front and center.

The blog @blumencia has been called out for stealing gifsets/edits of the Wednesday show and has not stopped. For example, they stole a set made by the talented @nessa007​

and when people called them out on it, they seemingly blocked them and kept the stolen work up and it got thousands of notes. 

Taking credit for someone else’s hard work is never okay. It takes hours to find downloadable files in good quality, download, cut, crop, color, size, add effects, etc to these sets. The blog as a watermark in the corner for fuck sake to prevent people form taking credit, and they still ignored it. 

They have even tried to make a pathetic excuse for their actions of stealing by making this ‘statement’ that makes no logical sense:

Apparently since editors do not handmake the series ourselves other people can take it without any issues. What a wild excuse that is. Also since you do not think it’s ‘work’ to make these edits… why not just make them yourself? if it’s not ‘work’? Seems so easy to you why not stop stealing other peoples work?

People who post images on tumblr should own those images. Because otherwise it would be stealing another artists work. I don’t post pictures I didn’t take on Instagram or Facebook. Because that’s streaking someone’s work. Thank you for admitting you do this outside of this website as well. You’re a shitty person across the worldwide web. Nice to know.

You do not need the creator of the shows permission to make any art relating to the show. The show is public and for public consumption. You are showing appreciation of the show by creating your own separate piece of work and taking no credit for it, everyone knows where to see the original art, therefore it is appreciating the art.

You are not Tim Burton. Making a television show is not the same as stealing other peoples work. Those are not even remotely comparable. You are stealing someone’s work that can take hours to create and reusing it for your own personal purpose. You are not showing appreciation, you are stealing.
