Look who decided to turn an AI slop overhaul into an original project!

Long story short:

I found out that plot of Angel Engine was a stolen from Dr. Nowhere’s Backyard Angel, so I have to throw it away in favor of creating a completely original series and “”a competitor”” to that “””analog horror””” while still keeping the concept of a global pandemic caused by advancing technology and pollution, and having to siphon something in order to clean everything (And also avoiding plagiarism like what Angel Engine did + it still has religious stuff but its there as a psychological thing in my analog series)

Anyways! Here’s the first post of my analog series concept!

Summary

When frost has melted, when the atmosphere gets dirty. A highly religious foundation, the Orthodox Unity Foundation, studies the pandemic for a solution to filter the environment globally and authentically. In depth to their research and environment gets increasingly worse, new species arises in a matter of months. One of them happened to be the absolute solution to everyone’s problems, and a mistaken sign that God exists.

Main Cast

Tamael

The absolute solution to everything, mistaken for an angel. The tree he's born on from and his kind grew from the rot, filtering the environment around them as their primary diet consists of said rot. He is the mascot of the Orthodox Foundation. Take good care of him.

Uriel

The prime protagonist of the series. Named after an archangel at birth and living up to said angel's name, Uriel is a gifted botanist who knew what is going to come next judging by past events. He's really passionate about nature, and likes to use less tools and tech to make his living condition easier to work with. When the pandemic began, Uriel has a choice to join the foundation (Who is in need of botanists). Will he join so the pandemic ends faster? Or will he take it slow and find it himself?

Zachariah

The second protagonist. Expelled from his abusive religious environment and seeks redemption in true Christianity, Zachariah is the head of the foundation and the head priest of the church he made the foundation from. He's hyperfixated in things that sounds or related to anything in the bible as he believes that God blessed his soul by being surrounded by what he thought were successors of the biblical figures. Although, he tends to push his religion on people at times, he knows when to stop because he doesn't want anyone to go through the same trauma as he did in the past. How long can he last?

Magdalene

The third protagonist. Just the woman next door wanting to brighten up everyone's day no matter what, Magdalene is the foundation's greatest technician who always appears on the employee of the month board. Although a religious lady, she likes to party during celebrations and yap about her interests (mostly anime and horror movies). However, keep your expectations low, she may be the most minor protagonist out of everyone, but there's something coming to her when the time comes.

What Will It Be Like

The series will be an interactive choice matter story where you control one of the main characters (Mostly Uriel). However, there is a catch! If one choice is more popular than the other, that choice will be canon and the next entry/episode will continue from said canon choices until the series concluded. Also, the series doesn’t start out as an analog horror in the first place. It’s just an analog series, and nothing else… Unless the choices the majority made can turn the tables around. Be careful what you choose to decide the fate of The Sangraal Apparatus’s already dying world.

There will be more soon! Next time, I might tackle the pollution that started the pandemic, the impact it caused, the new environments made from the damages of advancing technology, and world-building.

I want to make a game inspired by Wario Ware's Sneaky Gamer and I'm currently trying to figure out how will the UIs and Huds will look like in-game.

So far, I have this split screen design with the little buttons for different purposes (EX: One of them is to hide under the covers while the other one is to close the cutains) and the computer screen will turn off if the player . For the task hud, I have a phone with a standee case showing a list of what to do.

This might change in the future because I need second opinions if the UI/Hud needs changes (In case if it looks cluttered or distracting.)

I canned the video I teased a couple of months ago due to setting my expectations way too high and stress. So, I decided to post what I got and showcase through image posts instead.

This is my rewritten reclaim of Angel Engine, The Sangraal Apparatus! Well, at least the first concept of the rewrite.

Basically, I redesigned pre-engine Uriel first before redesigning the engine and his distorted form. Mainly because the OG is really inconsistent and original design of Uriel before he’s siphoned into the machine looks like Mandela Gabriel if he were boring and has Stockholm syndrome.

As for his writing, I made him a chill yet authoritative angel with a nasty grudge he holds. When he was betrayed by the humans, he starts aggressively demanding his release, which caught the humans who stereotype the angels as perfect beings who can’t be negative off-guard.

It gets worse when all of heaven is captured and siphoned like Uriel after a war in which humanity won using his energy (and later, other angels’ energy). Eventually, he began to hate humanity and made a deal with the Antichrist to exterminate all of them slowly and painfully. He even went out of his way to concentrate most of his energy to enhance the pain more.

Soon enough, when the apocalypse started, Uriel found a blind human, who is willing to release him no matter the cause, in the middle of the apocalypse. This human gave Uriel a little hope back to humanity and wanted to preserve them for the new world once he is released.

So, he told the human through a vision to give them 6 weeks before they can release him and all of heaven while also warning them about the Antichrist in their way.

That’s all! Im planning doing the rest of the major characters and giving them an overhaul as well! Anyways, peace!

The embodiments of all goods, guardians of the faithful. They are the counterparts to the 7 deadly sins and royalties chosen or raised by the light. Their task is to bring balance and salvation to the world while fending off the pollution that tainted humanity for eons. Although they’re the most benevolent beings, they too can be scary both physically and psychologically. It’s best to bow before them as an act of repentance.

Also, the 7 archangels have true forms depending on their sub-species, but they prefer their simpler and small forms so they can move around easily and interact with beings shorter than them. The only times they need to be in their true forms is for emergencies or special meetings.

Michael (He/Him)

The first to be born from the light’s tears and the humble warrior who is willing to drop everything to be there with anyone in need. Michael is the eldest prince who takes every responsibility for the light to take care, protect, and tutor angels and humanity in the way of good. He sees the good in everything, even the ones who are rotten to the core. However, despite his golden heart and stoically warm smile, he can get overprotective of his younger siblings and hold nasty grudges against those far from redemption. Also, like the light, he weeps over the sacrifices being made in order for the good things of the world to thrive; most specifically, having to banish one of his brothers for the sake of goodness.

4 Facts:

-His scars cannot be recovered fully due to Helel’s corrupting powers tainting his light when they get into a fight over the creation of the light’s version of a primate species

-He is a helicopter brother and guardian to every angel

-Like the light’s tears, Michael’s tears can create extraterrestrial life (Mostly angels of different virtues other than humility (Even though they're all born similar until they earn it))

-Michael wants Helel to return home despite everything

Raphael (He/Him)

Born along the flame from a leftover feather of Helel and the kind traveler who helps the weak. Raphael is one of the middle twins and the prince who traveled far and wide to find every cure for every illness and stored it all in a rod that was once ordinary driftwood from Eden when everything was still perfect. Like his oldest brother, he sees the good in everything, except he believes that sinners beyond redemption can still be saved if they are given an adventure to unfold and repurpose their fate. Although his belief in redemption is good on paper, he fails to realize that he's being too kind and soft to all mortals and has to comprehend the limits of the virtue he embodies, which he can already do towards most demons. He can pin a demon to the ground, banish them into the sea where he commands Leviathan to consume them, and still be a kind-hearted angel by the end of the day. He just needs more understanding of fate.

4 Facts:

-He is one of the first angels to travel and study other lands and made stuff inspired by their culture (Hence why he made his rod heavily inspired by the Rod of Caduceus and the Rod of Asclepius)

-He can blow bubbles from his mouth

-He CANNOT cure mental disorders and instead, he helps those who are disabled so they can live out their best lives with the support needed for their conditions

-Raphael is a sea animal whisperer who can understand everything about a certain sea creature, which is another reason why Leviathan looks upon him (+ Leviathan is one of the only demons Raphael can excuse)

Gabriel (He/She/Him/Her)

Emerged from the lost light of Helel and the strong herald who managed to overcome their trauma when they matured. Gabriel is the second youngest princette who stepped foot into the world they weren't ready for and has now grown out of their naivete to go out on their own without the need for others to keep an eye on them. They looked up to their older siblings a lot back then to the point of following in their footsteps to be as strong and aspiring as them despite Michael sheltering them from the world. Now after experiencing the horrors they aren't supposed to witness and go through, their innocence wilted like a dying lily as the pain they went through has paralyzed them for life. Then, after years of seeing the bigger picture, they grow out of their child-like self to stand up against the horrors and protect the world’s purity, so it won't go through what they felt in the past. Despite everything, Gabriel is still an optimistic ray of sunshine who can brighten up anyone’s day with their words.

4 Facts:

-They are the #1 yapper of all time (Mostly, they yap about people and plants)

-They look up to Michael more than their other siblings because one, Michael always takes Gabriel with him and teaches them a lot of things while taking care of everything they need, and two, Michael is the first angel they saw after they're born

-They are wearing pants under their skirt

-Back then, Gabriel wanted their older siblings to take care of Asmodeus, and now they are strong enough to defeat him on their own

Uriel (She/Her)

Born along the healer from another leftover feather of Helel and the stoic scholar who never burns out. Uriel is one of the middle twins and the princess who worked hard to learn how to work smart. She's the most distant from her siblings due to her never-ending studies and theories on the impossible, including forbidden knowledge that isn't supposed to be learned or thought of. Despite this, she can still take a short break if she feels like it and bond with her siblings before going back to work on her scrolls and such unless there is something important she needs to do or go to. The more she learns, the more confident and professional she becomes that her authority will make evil repent under her presence. Also, beneath the layers of the serious angel of fire, there is a hint of softness and whimsy that can't be recognized unless she finds something she likes (corny jokes and sweets).

-Her horn works like a magical wand and a future predictor

-She rarely expresses emotions

-Every time she's in water, her surrounding water at a small radius boils

-Uriel misses Belphegor

Azrael (Any)

A peculiar angel born in shadows and the benevolent reaper who helped the light create the first couple of primate species. Azrael is the caregiver of the deceased who guides good souls to a better place while leaving sinners behind to face what they consider as “inevitable pain”. Due to their extreme friendliness and motherly nature, some souls choose to stay with Azrael and become heaven dybbuk that can shapeshift into deadly weapons like a giant scythe or a synchronizing chain whip. No one sees Azrael being upset, especially when they're in a rough situation where they look disappointed rather than angry. Not only that but they use their weapons to look menacing instead of fighting. For humans, they called them an odd one out. For demons, they called them a menace to their society. For angels, they called them their own.

4 Facts:

-They are married to Gabriel and they're the perfect listener to their spouse’s ramblings

-The dybbuk tends to rest behind Azrael’s veil and mist skirt

-They have older siblings who are the embodiments of the apocalypse (Including themselves, of course)

-Azrael is the calm to Satan/Lucifer’s storm (Azrael knows Helel misunderstood the light and is helping him to see the bigger picture better, which Helel doesn't understand why they're helping them if he caused so much damage to the world)

Jeremiel (They/Them)

One of the first angels born from the celestial pools made from Michael’s tears and the moderate judge gatekeeping heaven. Jeremiel is the royal guard of the light who is the grandmaster of all dominions overseeing all angels below their rank. Unlike Raphael and his way of redemption, Jeremiel understood that fate cannot be changed, and it's sealed once a mortal’s life is all recorded after they die. Although, Jeremiel pitied the souls who committed an act that prevented them from resting in peace but brushed it off so they could show how spiteful they were towards the sinners.

4 Facts:

-They can travel through dreams and also create some using the best memories of a mortal’s life

-They are married to Barachiel and they adopted Azrael along with their older siblings

-Their fallen twin sibling is Ramiel

-Beelzebub almost ate them

Barachiel (They/Them)

Born as an average angel that turned into a virtue and the catering giver sacrificing everything to give good to the needed. Barachiel is the royal gardener who bless saints with everything they need for either survival or luck in the future. Despite their position in the angel hierarchy, they are the weakest out of the seven due to them being made for support and not strength. Also, they’re a pacifist who rather stay away from trouble than confront it. To make up their lack of strength and extreme pacifism, their blessings given through their golden roses grants an ally something they need in order to win a fight. Rather it be impenetrable shields, protectors made from excess light, or a thingamajig that strengthens an ally’s power.

4 Facts:

-Their golden roses are grown all over heaven and it radiates lucky energy and great boosts for production/crops/whatever

-Like Raphael, they are extremely kind and soft. Unlike Raphael, they understand that not all souls deserve a second chance (Just like their spouse, Jeremiel)

-They spend most of their time tending the gardens of Heaven

-Barachiel and Mammon are enemies from the start due to their different beliefs in charity

I’ll post a separate post about the archangels’ wings and halo + the accurate size of Raphael’s Rod and Gabriel’s Turmpet!
