genuinely just bizarre. do you know how many professional artists use 3D models and photographs? that’s literally just an integral part of modern digital artwork creation. there’s a reason art programs like clip studio offer it WITHIN their program. i have absolutely no idea why this is being treated like cheating or lying when it’s a tool. i don’t care to get into it here but i fear this is an extension of a general mindset that’s become very prevalent the last couple years (but has been around forever) about how art needs to be as Original as possible you can’t trace Anything you can’t take inspiration or else it’s Unoriginal which is Just Bad. this is a terrible terrible policy for artfight to have and god i hope they change it
