Jim Morrison’s voice? Chef’s kiss. Deep and soft one moment, then powerful and animalistic the next. And sexy as fuck— ngl, LOL.

He was enigmatic. Charismatic. Owning a presence that pulled people in and held them captive. A true icon of 60s counter-culture—he challenged societal norms and riled up crowds, provoking them, stirring chaos and rebellion. His hedonistic lifestyle was part of this persona—indulging in drugs, drinking and sexual pleasure. He was a true native of the psychedelic era—when musicians experimenting with hallucinogenic substances entered altered states and created music with trippy soundscapes.

Yet Jim had a hunger for meaning. His lyrics pondered on existential questions, reality, death and enlightenment. Immortalised as one of the most iconic frontmen in rock history, Jim’s persona, vocals, lyricism and dramatic death cemented his legacy.

I also love Ray Manzarek on the keyboard, i feel like it’s such a key (hehe) part of The Doors’ songs. really adds to that mysterious, haunting vibe. 🎹

i’m loving the series, i started watching it because the viking era intrigues me and i enjoy learning about ancient cultures.

now that the first season came to an end, i can say my three most fav characters are lagertha, bjorn and athelstan. if i need to choose one— it’s Lagertha.

i love Lagertha’s character. She is a warrior, she stands up for herself, speaks her mind fearlessly, and commands respect.

Ragnar— well, I root for him but what he did to Lagertha is enough for him to come off my top 3. he’s a smart leader, humble, reflective, has relatively good values but he gave in to his thirst for having more offspring and it cost him his family. having more than one wife did happen in the Viking Era and reproducing was important to them and the legacy and continuation of their kind but still— what Lagertha felt was completely understandable.

Rollo, a mess. his ego and drive for power drove him to do terrible stuff and he has to live with it for the rest of his life, which i think is an even worse punishment than being executed.

it’s really interesting to learn about norse mythology and their perspective regarding life and death. what’s also interesting is seeing the character of Athelstan, a Christian, cohabiting with this culture that seems as foreign to him as for the audience watching the show. i’m curious to see how his character evolves.

it’s interesting to see each character’s way of dealing with things, and the moral dilemmas they face. i’m also interested to see how the dynamic between the vikings and the English unfolds. i’m upset that lagertha and bjorn left, but will continue to watch obviously.

the movie was so cute!! firstly, the animation style was beautiful and simplistic. it reminded me of a videogame animation, which made it feel cozy and familiar.

i love how such a masterpiece was made in the free software “blender” and it still looked good quality and oscar-worthy. the movie has no dialogue— yet it transmits everything it intends to.

so much can be expressed just through actions, and animals are the perfect example for this. the journey started with the cat only, and throughout it he befriended other animals affected by the catastrophic invasion of water.

this story shows how community and teamwork can take us far and is crucial for survival. it also helps us to understand ourselves better, our strengths and skills, the roles we are fit for.

i enjoyed watching the cat face its fears. how at first it was afraid of the water, it became a trauma. the cat accidentally fell into the water multiple times, and it saw that other animals weren’t afraid of it. then it found the courage to literally “jump in the water” and face the fear.

i found myself rooting for the cat. this made me think, if there was a movie about me, what would the audience be screaming at me to do? what fears or tribulations do i have that i’m avoiding? how can i overcome them?

in short: flow was a beautiful, simple yet meaningful movie. a story about courage and teamwork. definitely recommend! 🐈‍⬛💙🩵
