Kai Winn is such a brilliantly written and performed character. Not only does she do evil, awful things with that façade of calm, patronizing niceness, but she's also so inconceivably exhausting. Even the characters in the show think so. It is truly a major test of endurance to put up with someone who is so morally bankrupt yet also so self-righteous. Add to that the fact that society gives people like her a voice of authority and protection from criticism, and I understand why Capt. Sisko started shaving his head. I'd want to pull my hair out, too.

In the Pale Moonlight is obviously a great episode but it makes it incredibly frustrating to discuss Sisko facing a hypothetical moral dilemma because without fail there will be people saying ☝️🤓 um actually Garak would take care of it for him. It’s “I lied, I cheated, I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men” not “Garak did all that and I was also there”

Is the repeating bit of Data opening jammed doors like it’s nothing intentionally fan service or am I just being serviced by something that’s intended to be funny? Email me asap. Godspeed.

you know, I think it's a missed opportunity that Seven of Nine never has any kind of gender crisis during Voyager. Borg drones are basically genderless by design, and yet during her reintegration into humanity, Seven is constantly pushed to assume traditionally feminine roles as a sexual object and a caregiver to the rescued Borg children. I think regardless of whether or not Seven ultimately continues down the genderless path or decides on a gender, it would've been an interesting thing to see.
