             His face relaxed as the need to keep his eyes open ceased. If he carried eye drops with him he probably would have used them then.            ”Elizabeth, hmm? Quite an English name, isn’t it? As for myself,              you can call me Izaya.”

          “Indeed, it is. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Izaya.”

              He continued to stare, his blank expression giving way to one of mild curiosity. He couldn’t really think of any reason you’d want to start a staring contest, nor why you would want to participate in one.               Yet here he was.

          “Er, I’m Elizabeth—aaand…you are?”

              “…”                       He’s not overly interested, but he can’t back down either.

          Seemed he decided to participate in her staring competition; she wasn't planing on losing--even though she did have a limit as to how long she could keep her eyes open. Well, all people do anyway.
