things i need to see on the pitt; coming from a nurse. for the sake of accurate rep but also just for funsies
tallying highest and lowest lab/vital/anything results, that's a real thing that happens. usually displayed on a big board
i need the doctors to ragebait the nurses more often. they are premium ragebaiters and it's INCREDIBLY annoying, i need them humbled
doctors or nurses forgetting the name of a patient the second they walk in. you would not believe how often that happens especially in acute care settings
machines not getting charged and beeping in a hallway until someone plugs them in, to the annoyance of everyone
15 family members showing up and wanting to see a patient all at once. you'd be surprised how often that happens
funky badge reels!! personalised or creative lanyards!!! colourful scissors!! fun socks!!! rainbow pens and markers!! where is this rep!! we are fun!!
having only one edition of a specific machine and having to search to hell and back to find whoever is using it so you can use it next
doctors telling you they will call you back and then them never calling you back. this is especially true for doctors in another department
dehydrated rep. we're all dehydrated.
dropping something on the disgusting hospital floor and going 'three second rule!' (we have to throw it out but we have fun with it)
giving your pen to someone and never seeing it again
and to add onto that: finding a pen somewhere randomly and deciding it's now yours. be the evil you want to see in the world
more representation of just how shitty and exploitative health insurance is, and just how many people struggle because of the flawed system
people looking up ways for at-home treatment via some AI or pseudoscience source and making it all worse
stealing your coworkers hand cream because all the handsanitiser made your hands dry (especially relevant during flu season)
how dedicated some people within a department are to decorating their departments for the holidays. it's always so wonderful
a coworker bringing homemade food for the department, happens especially during holiday season!
holiday/fall incidents: frying food accidents, ate too many cookies, food poisoning, how the cold affects the unhoused, mandatory vaccination debate, in regards to flu season which will undoubtedly be discussed
to circle back to the betting board: holiday related bets (what kinda cases, how many, what timeframe?)
and to finish it all off, i would really really really really really want to see the residents pranking their attendings and chiefs
