i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

Anybody else feel like every day you go outside as an Obvious Dyke you have to justify your presence. People look at me like a minotaur that escaped its labyrinth etc etc. Moreover it pisses them off that I think I deserve to be treated like a person and I don't automatically defer to White Men like I'm supposed to. I got homophobically harassed by a white dude barista who felt insulted that I expected him to get my order right

Like I'll be acting completely normal and fully just sitting there and people feel threatened by this. Like I think I get to sit down. White people make me feel like a dog that's not allowed on the furniture

its interesting being a weird autistic tranny as a kid and letting yourself get accustomed to the idea that youre just some magically antisocial loser who is "introverted" and is happy being alone and then you grow up and realize that actually you love being social you love hugs you love going out and hate being alone you just hated all of the social opportunities available to you growing up so much you let yourself romanticize solitude as a slightly less miserable state than interacting with people
