good, that was the point.

i used to be so sad and so miserable and so scared. Now i get to be a pretty girl in public and other girls see me and smile and we compliment each other and it's normal and im happy.

Every few months we organize a book club game, where we nominate games with modules to play, and after one wins, we all split off into groups to play the same game and then talk about it afterwards. The actual scheduling is set up by the GMs, so as a player you just need to put in your availability, accept the scheduled time from a GM, and then the game is run through voice chat. It really couldn't be simpler and easier, and I've never had issues with groups disbanding prematurely.

But the server also has games besides whatever the book club is officially running- last night I just played a game of Eureka with friends I made in this server which we've been playing consistently for ~5 months now, a couple weeks ago I just finished a different Eureka game with some other friends I've made in this server, and tomorrow I'm playing in a game of Paranoia with a different group of friends (made in this server), and that's not even all the games I've played there. There's usually someone setting up a game for anyone to sign up for.

And if you're worried about joining a game with strangers, the book club community is also very active, talkative, and genuinely the most welcoming and open community I've gotten to be in. I was also nervous about playing with strangers when I first joined, or that my experience in ttrpgs was too little, but actually talking and participating in the chat first helped a lot to assuage those fears.

I have found groups very sporadically on Lex. It's a queer community app, I have no idea if it's any good anymore, as this was a few years ago, but I did meet my best friend through there and ran a fairly long series of games with that group.

Another (slightly scarier) option would be to find a local game store that does Adventure League (the D&D official meetup ruleset) and see if they have open slots. The secret check is to see if they have a bulletin board with people looking for games, or ask if you can post your own ad.

She's cut off my a section of Lil Nas X's song Montero, specifically the line "... Me in the the mornin', i'll be on...". As the line plays, she looks to the side down, as if something nearby is falling. The music fades in, gets louder, and fades back out. She pauses after it fades all the way out.
