My thoughts on the series:
For a show titled The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we didn't get that much Winter Soldier. I feel cheated.
Sam is a dull, bland character played by a dull, bland actor. He was outshone in every scene by everyone except the ugly chick who played Karli. I disliked how Bucky was nerfed and sidelined to pump up Sam. If Mackie can't even carry a Disney+ show, how is he going to carry a movie? I suspect Captain America 4 will not do all that well, comparatively speaking, and it'll be blamed on racism, not a dull protagonist.
I was rooting for the Flag Smashers to blow up that stupid boat. I don't care about Sam's sister's money problems.
I wanted more Zemo and Bucky scenes.
I don't give a rat's ass that Walker de-nogginized that terrorist - his only mistake was doing it in public. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Loved the Butler coolly taking out the rest of the Flag Smashers. When Zemo deals with a problem, he DEALS with it. It's nice to see competence for a change. I suspect Zemo has read the Evil Overlord List.
I didn't think it was racism for the banker to deny a loan for a business that hadn't turned a profit in five years to a man who had no income, job or assets for collateral. Sure, he was a dick for asking for Sam's autograph, but I doubt he would have given a white man a loan under the same circumstances.
As usual for the MCU, the government agent who makes perfectly good arguments about the behavior of enhanced people, or against the actions of a terrorist (I'm looking at you Wanda!), is then shown to be over the top evil so we're supposed to discount every good point he makes. (ex. Ross and Tony in Civil War pointing out that the Avengers need accountability and oversight after the completely avoidable clusterfuck in Lagos.)
Sam willingly gave the shield back to the government. His outrage that they gave it to someone who wanted the job was ridiculous.
Bucky's therapist was terrible. Your patient reveals that his entire self-worth is based on the good opinion of someone else and you don't follow up on that? Maybe tell him that Steve Rogers isn't the universal arbitrator of goodness and worth?
The bald Wakandan chicks were arrogant in the extreme. Trying to kill Walker because he made a couple of condescending comments and *gasp* touched one of them on the shoulder wasn't cool, it was psychotic. It doesn't make me want to watch Black Panther 2.
Ā Samās āCanāt we all get along?ā speech and his outrage over Karli the Terrorist being referred to as a terrorist was ridiculous. Ā Once again, the ābad guyā made some good points, and Sam responded with idiotic platitudes.
