Running From H.E.L.L

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🚓🛩️💰👊🏻🚨 Thelma and Louise but younger and gayer. Bonnie and Clyde but lesbians. These are just two examples of how to describe this book. Running from H.E.L.L picks up from the last page of We Are H.E.L.L, allowing us to see what happens with Elsie and Lu. The book covers a wide range of emotions from both girls, especially with dealing with the aftermath of book one. There are lessons learned, and lots of growing within the girls, and it’s nice to see in a book like this. JC Rowe has poured her heart and soul into this book once again, and it shows in the characters’ thoughts and emotions. Can’t wait for book three.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 👭🏳️‍🌈🚔 So I may be a bit biased here, considering I know this first time author very well. Because of that fact, I know the author poured her heart and soul into this book, almost literally, as she modelled Elsie and Lu and their pasts on herself. The storyline follows the two girls as they fall in love with each other, from the moment they first meet. Most would argue that they are complete opposites, considering Elsie is practically a recluse and Lu is a bad@ss, 🔪 welding, motorbike riding, knows what she wants, and will get what she wants when she wants it gal. I guess that’s why they call it love at first sight and opposites attract. You follow along as they get up to mischief, and find themselves in tricky situations. The story is so well written, that you can feel what the characters are feeling as if you were them. The 👅🤌 scenes were 🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵 Thank you @jcroweauthor Please check TW before reading. 18+ recommend.

The Alexandra Quick series is brilliant; it’s a Harry Potter spin off novel. I can’t call it fanfic, because it’s both too original and too well written (by which I mean it’s pretty much a novel in both writing style and format) for that definition. There are currently four books, and the author published each one in one go. The absoloute ONLY thing keeping it from being published are bullshit copyright laws. It takes place in the Harry Potter universe, but not only does it feature an entirely origial cast, it takes place in America, years after Harry defeated Voldemort, and the threat facing them is entirely different. The school is very much its own thing, the worldbuilding is quite original and unique for all that it incorporates the core things of the HP verse. It’s a fantasy book that takes place in the HP world, but it is most definately not Harry Potter. The tone of the books is darker and less wimsical, and while Alexandra is initially ignorant of the magical world, she is not ignorant of Magic. She gets up to all sorts of magical misadventures even before she gets introduced the world that awaits her. Anyway, this is the summary for the first book: “The war against Voldemort never reached America, but all is not well there. When 11-year-old Alexandra Quick learns she is a witch, she is plunged into a world of prejudices, intrigue, and danger. Who wants Alexandra dead, and why?” A quote from Tv Tropes “The series is notable for being Darker and Edgier while still managing to capture the same feeling as Harry Potter, as well as exploring magic beyond what the students are taught in schools. With one of the most realistic and coherent portrayals of Magical America, Alexandra Quick is a lot more than fanfiction” It’s my definate canon for the American wizarding world.
