MINE OR ANYONE ELSE'S.

so today i found out that some of my friends' art and mine was reposted on another platform without any credit. i didn't even get to see the post myself because a friend already confronted them and got it taken down, but the fact that it happened at all is incredibly frustrating.

to be honest, i never thought my art would interest someone enough to repost it outside of tumblr. but since we’re here, let's make this very clear:

DO NOT REPOST ANYONE'S ART WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION AND ESPECIALLY WITHOUT TAGGING THE ARTIST.

if you want to use someone's art in a video or post it on another site, you ask first. and if they say yes, you properly credit them. it’s not just about "fame" – it’s so people can actually find the artist's profile and see their work.

neither me nor my friends are getting paid for the art we create. we do this because we love it, so the absolute bare minimum respect we deserve is to be credited under OUR OWN work. it really isn't that hard.
