I watched SU waaaay later and had missed all the drama, so when I saw the final season I thought that it was nice but seemed underwhelming and left quite a few things unfinished. I felt that meant something went wrong in development and looked into it more, and when I found out why I was so angered. More so, to see how parts of the fandom and others had treated it. It was so good for what it went through, and I appreciated the final season once I understood how much was fought just to finalize it on their own terms. I don't understand how people in the midst of it all couldn't understand that.
