Artemis Fowl Suite Part II: Missing In Action

Things that probably won’t be in the af movie:

So I was thinking about random stuff while I was getting ready for bed and I thought of this post, and the first part of it reminded me that Disney owns AF now, so when/if the movie is made, they’ll probably have the Disney logo at the beginning of the movie. So. I thought of this:

They do all the opening logos, then they do they do the Disney one. They fairy flies over the castle and leaves the trail of magic dust or whatever. But then at the bottom of the arc it turns and starts heading towards the camera. As it gets closer you can see that it’s moving really fast. Suddenly it zooms past the camera. The camera turns around and flies to catch up with the figure. As it gets closer you hear the sound of radio chatter getting louder. The camera pulls up next to it. It’s Holly, on her way to the mission with the troll.

So I initially had this idea and was like “oh my gods yes,” but then I realized that the whole business with Artemis getting the book happened before that. So. More ideas.

When the camera catches up to Holly, the radio is basically just Root and Foaly yelling at her and each other. They then explain the mission to her in more detailed terms than they should have to, for the sake of the audience. After the chaos that happens, Root yells at Holly about doing the ritual, again in more detailed terms that he should need to. Holly goes to do the ritual, gets captured. The camera pans up to Artemis and Butler standing over Holly’s unconscious body. Artemis starts narrating. “… It all started with my acquisition of The Book.” (or something along those lines) The camera pans up and fades to black. Cue title. Camera continues to pull up, revealing Artemis sitting in a limo in Egypt (or wherever it was. It’s been a while since I read the first book). After the flashback it cuts to Holly waking up in her cell.

So yee. I had those ideas last night and I had to share them.
