Laurent had to endure that for years since he was 13 years old, alongside all the types of abuse his uncle inflicted on him, completely alone in a Court that also heavily sexualized and despised him since he was that young. That's why I think (and Damen does too btw) that Laurent is the strongest character - it must have taken unbelievable mental fortitude to survive all this, and retain inside his core traits (honor, fairness, empathy and kindness).
