The views along my morning runs. My Sunday runs are my favourite as the world outside is so quiet and peaceful. It was warm this morning for winter so I was able to run around with out feeling like my body was turning into ice. The best part was feeling the warm sun on my skin when it rose from behind the hills across the water. It’s such a beautiful place to be in the morning, right beside the water with all my favourite ducks and birds. I come to this spot almost twice a day and I still find it exciting and beautiful. As I have been running here for a few years now I have become familiar with the regular people I pass, which is a very nice thing in itself. I’m happy to be back outside again moving my body and I’m already excited for next time.

This tiny octopus, whose body measured about five centimeters across, was spotted swimming along at a depth of 825 meters as we explored Whiting Seamount, off Puerto Rico.

A super simple breakfast of baked oats which I made a few days ago with warm berries, banana, rawnola and oat milk. This morning was one of those mornings where I didn’t feel like doing much for breakfast so I threw a bunch of things into a bowl and that was it. It took about three minutes to prepare and I have the rest of my day to get productive and start ticking things off my to-do list before work tomorrow. Mostly this means getting breakfast + lunch & dinner prepared so I don’t have any cooking to do, but it also means making sure I’m not in a desperate rush to find everything I need and end up running to work instead of walking. Love that organised life.
