i was thinking abt how in breaking down, trina sings “he’s a queen, i’m a queen, where is my crown”
and i was originally thinking about how marvin got his (very short) freedom and happiness at the expense of trinas marriage
but then i thought about how she said that specifically referencing his queerness, and how it might be tied to her own oppression as a woman
so now i’m thinking she’s referencing her frustration on why he, as a gay man, is able to receive a happy partner and she, as a straight woman, is not
