Pretty Boy, by justthislazy Rating: Mature Ship: Andrew/Neil Word count: 33k Status: Complete Summary: Neil is the most attractive person Andrew has ever seen in his entire life. Too bad that Andrew can't express that fact (not opinion) properly to him. It all should be fine, it's not like Neil doesn't know he's hot, right? My bookmark: Andrew thinks Neil knows that he’s attractive, and that Andrew finds him attractive. Neil does not know this. Misunderstandings ensue. I really enjoyed this, Andrew’s POV is very good and all the little Fox interactions and dialogue felt really in character.

My bookmark: When an older Jason from an alternate universe arrives in Gotham, it cracks open all the feelings for his own Jason that Tim’s been denying.

the salt and the sea, by WizardGod Rating: Explicit Ship: Regulus/OFC Word count: 210k Status: Complete Summary: The year after her brother James graduates, Teddy Potter returns to Hogwarts for her final year. With the Marauders gone, it should be a quiet, peaceful year despite the mounting tensions in the world outside of school. The problem, naturally, lies with Regulus Black, the broody boy who just might be the most effortlessly aggravating person she's ever met in her whole life. And for someone who was raised with James Potter, that's saying a lot. "You know, it must be exhausting to be such a fucking prick all the time." "I have fantastic stamina." Teddy is a fun OC, she fits into the Marauders canon like she was always there. I loved the relationship development between her and Regulus, too.

dirty old town, by WizardGod Rated: Explicit Ship: Regulus/OFC Word count: 287k Status: Complete Summary: Finn Lynch lives a quiet, tranquil life in a rural village in the mountains. Her life may lack spontaneity and excitement, but at least it's peaceful. And if it's a little lonely too, then she can't complain too much - she's still happy, after all. When her uncle asks her to house a defector from the magical war he's involved in, Finn agrees reluctantly despite her concerns that the presence of Regulus Black in her home will disrupt the careful peace she's been cultivating for years. Nothing could prepare her for what an insufferable prick he is. [marauders era] [regulus black x muggle oc] [mild enemies to lovers] My bookmark: I really enjoyed this story, another Regulus Black x OFC enemies to lovers, canon AU fic. I really fell in love with Finn (just like Regulus did), she is such a great character! This fic has lots of fun and funny moments and major Studio Ghibli vibes, and I’m here for it.

Fluid Dynamics, by KayGryffin Rated: Explicit Ship: Miles Morales/Miguel O'Hara Word count: 121k Status: Complete Summary: In terms of physics, fluid dynamics, as a study, investigates the flow and motion of fluids and gases. Central to the study of fluid dynamics is the concept of pressure: the force applied to the surface of an object, be it liquid or gas, and how that pressure is expressed. OR; Miles has a lot on his plate. Doesn't have time for anything complicated; he just needs to make rent and pass his classes. So, obviously - he gets into a complicated whatevership with Miguel O'Hara. Obviously. My bookmark: Excellent long Flowerfang fic, set 4 years post-ATSV-canon. Kind of a Miles character study, too.

My bookmark: Neal decides to teach himself self-defense; his methods are a little unorthodox. Peter intervenes, and Neal's new skills end up coming in handy.

Sign Language For Cop, by OnYourMark Rated: Teen Ship: Neal & Peter Word count: 9k Status: Complete Summary: Combat training hasn't killed Neal yet, but Quantico is a little tougher on him than Peter was. (Sequel to "Clint Eastwood's Best Move".) My bookmark: Neal heads to Quantico for a crash course in combat training from the FBI’s pros. It goes well, until it doesn’t.

Have you heard the good word about our lord and saviour Ilya Rozanov? Part one is a series of scenes wherein David Hollander demonstrates his superior emotional intelligence, Rose Landry collects besties like shiny marbles, Hayden Pike does his best (bless him), Yuna Hollander is everyone's momager, and Svetlana Vetrova commands the will of men. Part two features Shane learning to extend his newfound communication skills to the bedroom, courtesy of some helpful coaching from Ilya. My bookmark: Shane talks to people about Ilya, and then talks to Ilya…in bed. Sweet, and very hot, wow.

Ilya has some thoughts. None of them are particularly kind. My bookmark: Shane starts learning Russian from someone other than Ilya; Ilya crashes out about it. Chexy is adorable.

Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear. No. Are you fucking crazy?” “I am not crazy,” Ilya said. “But I would like to be fucking. Maybe both of you. At once.” “Too bad you only have one dick then,” Shane said, incredulous. “My innocent sweet boy, Hollander. Never had a threesome before?” “I could barely handle one girl at a time,” Shane confessed. “Much less two. Because, Rozanov, I am gay.” +++ Ilya and Svetlana propose a threesome for old time's sake. Shane learns that sometimes, experimentation can be very, very rewarding. An exploration of identity and desire and, ultimately, being true to yourself. My bookmark: Holy fuck, this was hot. Also, a great exploration of Shane’s (and to a lesser extent Ilya’s) sexuality, and great character dynamics between all 3 of them. A+.

enforcer, by moonlitgarden Rating: Mature Ship: Shane/Ilya Word count: 12k Status: Complete Summary: Ilya knows there is a thing about himself he has to always keep hidden in the deepest recesses of his body, behind his molars and in his core. He thinks Shane Hollander might be the same, except the thing about him he cannot hide. Ilya Rozanov is the biggest hockey talent of his generation. So is Shane Hollander. But over the years Ilya notices that the vicious media and the clamouring fans and some of his more foul-mouthed teammates treat Hollander differently than any other hockey player. My bookmark: As Ilya and Shane’s relationship develops over the years, Ilya witnesses - and stands up against - the racism Shane has to deal with. Well written.

Knowing, by toomuchplor Rating: Mature Ship: Scott/Kip; Shane/Ilya Word count: 14k Status: Complete Summary: Scott Hunter is just trying to make the most of his closeted NHL career, keep his head down, wait until he retires before he tries find his person. He doesn't want to know anything at all about these two dumb rookies and what they're getting up to behind the facade of their so-called rivalry… but they're making it really hard for him to ignore them. Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are not Scott's problem. That's all there is to it. My bookmark: Ugh fine, I guess I will care about Scott and Kip just slightly this one time. I always love any kind of outsider POV, and the concept of Scott being an extremely reluctant and long-suffering Forrest Gump to the Hollanov situationship saga is very funny.

Little More Close, by maplesalad Rating: Explicit Ship: Shane/Ilya Word count: 2k Status: Complete Summary: “Okay. You want to say no, you want to fight me. Pretty boy, all alone in his glass house. You want me to force you?” He didn’t need Shane to answer, really; Shane was fully hard against Ilya’s thigh and pink under his freckles. But it was best to be direct about these things. And he wanted to hear Shane say it, anyway. “I—yeah. Make me. Is that too weird?” My bookmark: Hollanov CNC that is very hot, and also feels very in character.

MP&G, by kwiewi Rating: Explicit Ship: Shane/Ilya Word count: 4k Status: Complete Summary: Ilya smiles. Fuck him. Seriously. Fuck him. “How many times can you come?”  “Dunno,” Shane says, hands flat against the curve of Ilya’s back. He runs so hot. Shane wants to lick him all over, sink his teeth into the hard knots of his muscle. “Maybe twice?”  “Fuck,” Ilya whispers, and dips down again to slot their mouths together. My bookmark: Hayden snoops on Shane and Ilya’s sexts and jerks off, imagining himself with Shane instead. Incredibly pathetic and hopelessly horny Hayden is my favorite kind of Hayden tbh

Another Hayden-Finds-Out, because we can't have too many. *now with the extra continuing Hayden-Rozanov friendship text threads* My bookmark: Delightful canon divergent series in which Ilya and Hayden accidentally switch phones for three days, leading to a Hollanov relationship reveal and an unlikely friendship for the ages. Lots of fun social media shenanigans, as well.

The Waiting Game, by Rizandace Rating: Teen Ship: Shane/Ilya Word count: 16k Status: Complete Summary: “Lily,” Hayden says automatically. “You know about Lily?” Something flickers across Rozanov’s face. His jaw twitches. “Yes, I know about Lily.” He raises his eyebrows. Hayden feels like a complete asshole, all of a sudden. There’s just been too much going on to even think about Shane’s mystery girlfriend. “Shit, I should probably, like, call her, or something? I don’t know this girl at all, but Shane’s been obsessed with her for years. If she was watching the game, she would have seen him get hurt.” “You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.” -- Hayden Pike and Ilya Rozanov are waiting for Shane to wake up after he took a bad hit on the ice. They get to talking. Chapter 2: Ilya and Shane talk about what it means, now that someone knows their secret. Chapter 3: Shane and Hayden hash out the big reveal. Chapter 4: Ilya tells Svetlana the big secret. My bookmark: Slight S1Ep5 canon divergence in which Ilya, desperate for information after Shane gets hurt, tells Hayden everything. Afterward, Ilya and Shane and Shane and Hayden talk about it. Then, with Shane’s blessing, Ilya tells Svetlana their secret, too. I loved this.

friends; family, by mehm Rating: Teen Ship: Shane/Ilya; Rose & Ilya Word count: 8k Status: Complete Summary: Maybe that’s what it is, actually. The Rose that Shane loves is not Rose Landry, the glossy figure Ilya thinks he’s familiar with but doesn’t know at all. Just as he is not Ilya Rozanov in the way most of the world sees him, not all the time. Maybe they have that in common. A snapshot look at Rose and Ilya in orbit around Shane, and the evolving meaning of family. My bookmark: A lovely post-S1 story about Ilya and Rose getting to know each other and becoming friends.

Not the kind of trouble she half-thinks Ilya means. Nothing that cannot be fixed, nothing that won’t fade, eventually. There’ll be a few more people on the internet calling her a slut, a bitch, a talentless whore who ruined the movies and was never hot enough to be cast in the first place. OK. Next week someone does coke off their mother-in-law’s breasts or someone drives their car into a pool and the cycle resets. The studio will be pissed. They won’t want them working together again. Maybe Rose loses an endorsement, maybe she loses some money. That’s all it is, it’s just money, just other people’s fucking money. But it doesn’t feel like that. -- A scandal breaks. Rose drives to Ottawa, to be not-alone. My bookmark: Rose turns to Shane and Ilya for support and company during a personal crisis. Bittersweet and real.

connecting the dots, by defcontwo Rating: Mature Ship: Shane/Ilya; Hayden/Jackie; Hayden & Shane Word count: 7k Status: Complete Summary: “Holy fucking shit, it all makes sense now. Lily is a dominatrix.” Or: Hayden is connecting the dots. Maybe. My bookmark: Hayden is a little confused, but he got the spirit. I’m always weak for outsider POV and ‘finding out about a secret relationship’ trope, so I loved this, and loved seeing Shane and Ilya together through Hayden’s eyes.

If she finds any cargo shorts, she might shoot herself. or: shane hires a stylist. My bookmark: Glimpses of Shane and Ilya, through the eyes of Shane’s stylist (whom I love, btw). A fun little outsider POV fic.

Oh, I did not tell him about Shane and me. But what he did, it was important. It changed things. For me, at least - maybe for us." On the night of the MLH awards, Ilya corners Scott Hunter on a quiet balcony. My bookmark: Missing scene conversation between Ilya and Scott. Ilya is very himself in this.

No. Get out.” “You like it?” “Please, please tell me that’s not—” Shane spins to show off the back. “Authentic.” “No,” Hayden says, drawing out the word plaintively. “In my house?” Shane wears Ilya's jersey to watch the game at Hayden's. My bookmark: Shane loves his boyfriend, and Hayden is long-suffering. Christmas fluff!

His vision goes blurry, throat tight. He tries to swallow it down and focus, shove his swirling thoughts into a neat little box, but it’s impossible. He feels—he might throw up, actually. “Are you seriously telling me you tried to fucking kill yourself?” “Yes,” Ilya agrees blandly, “It did not work.” Ilya calls Shane from the hospital. Shane handles it very normally. My bookmark: Ilya attempts suicide and calls Shane in the aftermath. Shane realizes he can’t pretend Ilya isn’t important to him anymore.

Dr. Shane Hollander knows it’s better to have a semi-regular source of casual sex than try to make a relationship work during residency. Ilya Rozanov knows that the doctor he’s fucking in Montreal is unaware that he plays hockey, and in fact probably thinks he’s Bratva. My bookmark: Long, well written, very fun Tim-centric canon divergence AU. Lots of shenanigans + Batfamily feels.

It's fine. He'd always dreamed of going to college and for once reality sort of lived up to expectations. He loves the classes, he can handle the workload and his cases too. His roommate is a total douche, but whatever. Jason's fine, he's got this. Then he meets his roommate's brother. Jason totally doesn't have this. Tim Drake and Jason Peters are engaged to be married. Neither of them know the truth. This is fine. My bookmark: Very enjoyable canon-divergence JayTim AU with lots of identity porn and feelings.

Brother Wanted, by Vamillepudding Rating: Gen Ship: Tim & Jason Word count: 11k Status: complete Summary: Well-behaved boy (10) is looking for big brother (11-15). Must meet up with me three times a week, for at least two hours each. Overall duties include helping me with homework, playing videogames with me, and showing me how to play catch. 10$ per hour. Tim, lonely and in desperate need of company, decides that if his parents are not going to give him a sibling, he's going to hire one instead. Luckily, Jason Todd-Wayne shows up in the nick of time. My bookmark: I’m weak for ‘Tim joins the Batfamily early’ fics, and this is a fun one, featuring Tim being an adorable little weirdo, Jason and Dick being Peak Brothers, and Bruce being a very good dad.

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist

demon alchemist, by metisket Rating: Mature Ship: Ed & Roy & Maes Word count: 88k Status: complete Summary: “Yeah, yeah, I know. You’re doin’ your best. It’s just your best isn’t quite good enough, Colonel. So while you’re doing whatever the hell it is you do, I’ll be here cleaning up after you.” My bookmark: AU in which Al dies after the human transmutation goes wrong, and Ed goes a little (or a lot) crazy and ends up becoming a vigilante serial killer known as the Demon Alchemist. Somehow, this becomes Roy and Maes' problem. Well written and a fun what-if premise explored, but will also punch you in the feels more than a few times, because, well. Feral Ed is my favorite.

*fav* Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love, by isthisselfcare Rating: Explicit Ship: Draco/Hermione Word count: 200k Status: complete Summary: Hermione straddles the Muggle and Magical worlds as a medical researcher and Healer about to make a big discovery. Draco is an Auror assigned to protect her from forces unknown – to both of their displeasure. Features hyper-competent, fiery Hermione and lazy, yet dangerous, Draco. Slow burn. My bookmark: Long, well written, highly entertaining and enjoyable Draco POV fic, set 15 years post-series in a canon-divergent AU. Lots of gorgeous art by many talented artists is included as well. Definitely recommend if you’re even slightly Dramione-curious.

Peter's stressed enough as it is with work and rent and school and a new super villain cropping up — he just doesn't have time for this. He especially doesn't have time for Deadpool accosting Peter Parker, wanting Spider-Man's photographer to help track down the elusive hero. Or: Everything seems to be going wrong all at once. It's a miracle Peter hasn't had a breakdown. My bookmark: Great Spideypool fic with solid characterization + lots of fun identity shenanigans.
