The long-awaited bot purge of October 2018 is there! Our discord team has compiled 1000+ bots in a spreadsheet, focusing on source bots (ie, how the botters make money). We need you to help us in taking them all down :)

Here is how to report:

- if you are on desktop: have a look at our handy google spreadsheet. Comments are enabled, so please right click+comment when you purge, leaving a +1 in the report column for each bot you report. If you find anything that is mislabeled, please leave a comment for that cell too.

Most of these bots are source bots, which means they will try to redirect you towards porn websites when you open them. The safest way to report them is to open them in your dash using this link : https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/insertblognameyourwanttopurgehere, click the pawn icon and then report as spam.

- if you are on mobile or don’t like the spreadsheet: you can report from this blog on tumblr. Like the post you want to start with, go to your likes, and then report from there. Again, this opens the bots in your dash (so no redirect), and you can hit the pawn icon and report as spam. When you’re done, please reblog this post and let us know what you purged :)

I need your help! ASAP! IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ!

As many of you may know, I’ve been working hard over the last year, to secure a 300+ acre nature preserve! I received news today that is equivalent to my worst nightmare. They are looking to log a nearly 100 acre section of the forest I am working to preserve! To sum things up quickly, because time is of the essence in my current situation… THIS IS WHAT I NEED FROM YOU : I am looking to gather messages (in my inbox) as to why nature preserves are important… why it is necessary to set aside areas of open forest and wilderness. These messages can be anonymous if you prefer, or you can chose to include your name. I’m going to screenshot/ print these messages, and share them with the land owners. I am aiming at meeting up with them on Friday (October 12th, 2018) , to discuss my plans for a preserve, and try with everything in me to convince them that logging is not the best option they have for this beautiful property.

More details: The area I am looking to preserve is split between 4+ land owners. I have explored , studied, and documented this forest for over 10 years. It has been left alone, with no traces of human activity, for (I’m guessing) at least 50 years. It’s a truly special place, with great bio diversity! If you have followed me for awhile, you should know that I am passionate about conservation, and helping put an end to the things that are destroying the region I call “home”.  Appalachia is riddled with human destruction, entire mountain ranges blasted to bits, fossil fuel extraction, spills, water contamination, deforestation, etc. SO much of our land has already fallen into the hands of the greedy. Places that are pristine and un tampered with are few and far between. I have explored SO much of Appalachia, seeking hidden “jewels” tucked away. Of all the interesting secret places I’ve found, this one is the real diamond. The animals and plants have had full freedom in this forest for half a century, it is a THRIVING environment… that deserves full protection. This is seriously my life’s mission. To secure such places, to make sure there are healthy forests for the future generations, as well as the creatures and plants that depend on these environments! I love this place with all my heart, I cannot express to you how important it is to me, to protect it. Here’s what’s going down, and how you can help: The land owners are from out of state, and are coming on Friday, to speak with the logger. In March, I sent them a letter, expressing my full plans for a preserve. No response. Seven months later, I hear they are planning to log it. It breaks my heart to think, they read my letter, and then did the exact opposite. These folks inherited the land, and have likely never set foot on it. They obviously don’t care about it. I’m going to approach very professionally, and give my plea and share my plans, again. Perhaps my letter didn’t make it to them. Maybe they did, and disregarded it. Until I speak with them, I don’t know anything for sure, other than that they are interested in logging it. I don’t yet know if it will be selective, or clear cut. I don’t know their plans, but I intend to share mine. I am still raising money!!! I would love to have a chunk of money, ready to offer them. But as of now, my “chunk” is quite thin. So far, I’ve raised around 500 dollars, but I doubt that’s enough to bargain with. Every single donation counts!!! Even $1, $2, $5…. anything! Every penny! I have enough followers, that if each of you gave $2 , I’d have enough to make this preserve happen! For less than the price of a cup of coffee, you can make my dreams come true! As I said earlier, I’m looking for MESSAGES, giving your input on WHY nature preserves are important… these can be simple, straightforward, or long and heartfelt. ANYTHING helps. This past Friday I made challah for Shabbat. For whatever reason I found the bread making process very spiritual. It struck me that by making bread I was participating in a tradition that was thousands of years old. And I don’t just mean as part of the Jewish tradition, although that was an important aspect because of the type of bread I was baking. But making bread is a human tradition probably older than the Jewish people itself.

I finished baking the bread a little before I began cooking and setting the table. And then it struck me that our celebrations of Shabbat utilize the things that distinguish human beings from the other animals: fire, wine, bread, and speech (and to some extent family). How many humans did it take to figure out how to tame fire? How many to discover the fermentation of alcohol? How many to perfect the bread making process? How many to create and maintain the internet that provided my challah recipe? Etc.

Please. For your immune compromised friends and loved ones.*^ For yourself. This year it’s a four- strain shot, which means something important that I can’t remember right now because my fever is 102 and I think my skin is trying to simultaneously melt off and freeze me to death.
