here's some info about Ang.g, one of the DJs for the Cafe Rebelde's Food Truck benefit.  Ang's digital bins include music of all genres and it would be no surprise to find many of these genres mashed together in a typical set. House, Hip Hop, Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Funk, World... hear their sounds here also: http://www.mixcloud.com/AngDotG/ Ang recently relocated to her home state of Texas. She is a social justice and event organizer, a coordinator, and a creator who is affiliated and/or involved with Amigas Latinas, Blocks together, Venus Collective, Dyke March, and several other grassroots and not-for-profit organizations in Chicago.  Ang has DJ'd at Chicago's Multi-Kulti, the Hideout, Logan Square Auditorium, and has had residencies at Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar, Simone's Bar. The Chicago area venues vary and include people’s backyards, living rooms, and anywhere else folks gather to dance. She even played a few parties at the 2010 U.S. Social Forum in Detroit. Her favorite moments include those parties in which the audience was diverse in terms of age, race, ethnicity, and musical taste, but everyone would pack the dance floor in rhythmic solidarity.

La Pulgita, Cafe Rebelde, Son Armado, Authentx Arts Network, and Queer Qumbia present "Sabado Gigante", a day of celebrating, creating and sharing culture and community. "Sabado Gigante" is an all day event on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1101 Springdale Austin, Texas 78721. Come early for our day-long event beginning at 10 am with La Pulgita, an artisan yard sale, with small local vendors selling art, resale goods, and DIY crafts. The day will be filled with music, workshops and fandango, so bring your instruments whether its a Jarana, a drum, your dancing shoes, or your singing voice! Spend your evening at our dance party hosted by Cafe Rebelde starting at 10pm with music by DJ ANG.G from Queer Qumbia and DJ radiorasquacho.
