“i mean, the guy has her pinned between him and the fridge, a wall would have worked better though because they were rocking it.” who was she to judge? hazel had a limited sexual experience, but when the fridge was involved, she was annoyed and judgmental. “oh, no thanks, i’m more grumping to grump, i found some water at the bar.”

“That’s probably why I say less sexy.” Cacie laughed, her nose wrinkled and she nodded. “But as long as you’re no longer thirsty, I guess it’s fine.” Pale shoulders shrugged, she sat up properly in her chair to watch the woman with a tilted head. “Feel free to grump away, I’d be annoyed too. Public sex is one thing, but there’s no reason to inconvenience people while you’re at it.”

“i’m just saying, clothing period should be optional,” joked nate, stepping up to the kitchen fridge to grab his cool water bottle and deciding to just randomly speak to the other person there. after all, how would he get to know anyone if he didn’t? the playful smile on his face made it clear that he was only joking, however.

          𝙒ide eyes looked up at the girl who spoke. He hadn’t been really paying attention to anyone else around, so it took him a moment to realize that she was speaking to him. “Oh? Oh… yeah. Yeah, it is,” he said, chuckling a bit as he tapped the letter against the palm of his hand. “I honestly hadn’t thought much about not being able to talk to them yet. Shit,” he said, chuckling again but a bit more from nerves this time. “Who’s gonna keep me in line then?”

Cacie laughed to herself at the expression in the man’s eyes. “That’s sweet.” She commented, her head tilted. The idea had certainly come up more than once, although she’d recently been more comfortable with it. She tapped the toes of her shoes together idly. “I think you’ll probably figure that out by yourself. I’m sure you’ll know where your line is.”

          In all honesty, Will still couldn’t believe he had made it onto this show. The whole process was supposed to have just been a joke, yet here he was. Why not though? He didn’t have anyone tying him down, so he might as well see what the waves might throw his way. Trying to get acquainted with the island, the young man walked around for a bit before sitting down on a lounge chair, sticking his hands in his shorts’ pockets as he did. However, he didn’t expect to find a letter in it. It was crumpled, but one of his buddies had definitely snuck it in when he was packing. “Damn. What am I gonna do without you guys?” he asked to himself as he chuckled at the letter. // @lirprb·

Cacie was often somewhere quiet and alone, it wasn’t that she didn’t like being with people, she just needed to recharge sometimes. Blue eyes rose and she looked up at the man nearby. “Let me guess, surprise from someone back home?” She asked, sat up slightly and looked over the new man. “It’s so weird not being able to text or call them, honestly.”

     he hopes he hasn’t disturbed her from her reading. but there’s something sad about making food for yourself on an island full of people you’re supposed to be getting to know. better to have someone to share it with. “sure-” cas nods, grateful smile framing his features. “you can tell me if there’s anything you don’t like to eat ??” he chuckles. it didn’t matter to him whether she was a meat eater, veggie, vegan, gluten free - anything under the sun. he enjoyed the challenge of making something delicious for anyone. 

Cacie stood, tucked her book under her arm and dusted herself off with a smile. “I’m easy, no dietary restrictions. I don’t like pickles if that counts.” She laughed, took a step towards the man and extended a hand for him to shake. “I’m Cacie, sorry I haven’t introduced myself earlier.” A hint of a smile graced her lips, lit up her eyes when it reached them. 

      a grin spreads across her lips at the woman’s laugh, it’s a warm sound that instantly relaxes her. as if the rum weren’t already doing that. “if it makes you feel any better, i’ve totally managed to kill a cactus. now that’s impressive.” leylani snorts, shaking her head despairingly at herself. “okay…i have three brothers, i can put my feet behind my head and i’ve never been in love.”

There was nothing more important to her than finding interesting ways to relax with people. Cacie certainly did not thrive in her loneliness, but she also wasn’t able to pretend to be interesting in something entirely superficial. “If it makes you feel better, I’ve done that too.” Fingertips drummed on the table gently, trying to read the other woman. “I have a feeling the first two are true, so I’m going with that you’ve never been in love.” Her head tilted slightly, studied the other woman with restrained anticipation of her answer. 

      “you hungry ??” he questions, hands tucked into the pockets of his shorts. he’s not very good at sitting still, doing nothing, relaxing. he’s most relaxed when he’s busy, in the midst of something. that’s why he finds his most peaceful time is whirling around in front of a stove. “i could make us lunch ??” @lirprb·

Doing nothing was hard, but then again, Cacie was always reading or writing. Just because she was in paradise didn’t mean that work stopped. Relaxing near the canteen was her favourite so far, the shared cabins just didn’t allow for the privacy she wanted. Blue eyes cast up to the man who spoke and she smiled. “I mean, I’ll never say no to food if you’re offering. Can I help?” She closed her notebook, brushed blonde bangs from her face. 

     “hmm…” the woman pauses, meeting the other’s gaze for a long moment. she takes a labored sip as if carefully mulling over her choices. “it’s gotta be the plant one. i mean, who’s taking care of all those plants if you’re here ??” 

Bright laughter escaped her lips when the other woman called her on her lie, and drank. Blue eyes fixed on the other’s face as she did. “You got me. I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life. Probably the whole travelling thing.” She lowered her glass, set it down on the table in front of her. “Your turn.”

       “alright, alright your turn-” the magenta haired female leans forward, teasing grin curved across her lips. “two truths and a lie. tell me two things that are true and one that’s a lie. if i guess right, you drink.” she takes a swig of her rum and ginger beer. 

Cacie crossed one leg over the other and leaned forward as well, a playful smile painted across her face. “Deal,” she nodded and took a sip of her vodka cranberry, her personal favourite. “Alright, I’m a professional songwriter, I’ve never slept with a woman, and I have a collection of plants at home.” Ocean eyes fixed on the woman in front of her for a long moment before she looked away. 

          caught in between laughs (at her own story) , she grins at the other. “let me start over. so right before i graduated, i worked at this fast food place and a bunch of teenage boys ordered like 200 nuggets with nothing but barbecue sauce, so i was kinda rushing around to get it done and i had an armful of barbecue sauce right, but out of the corner of my eye i noticed the most gorgeous woman i’ve ever seen in my life and i just had to do a double take,” she pauses for breath. “and as i did i may or may not have ran into a wall, so, there i was, barbecue sauce on my titties–”

Cacie was both overwhelmed and intrigued by what she heard, her head tilted as she listened. “Holy shit, that’s a story and a half.” Her laughter bubbled when she spoke. “How does it end? Is this a redemption arc?”

Rose was having a drink at the open bar, her one side leaning against the counter. While she loved having fun as much as the next person, she was a wallflower at heart. Someone who needed a bit of time to adjust and blend in. After spending her first day nearly on her own, when she spotted someone pass her by at the bar, she opened her mouth to invite them. “Hey,” her voice came out a second later as her brain fought to kick back down the nervousness in her stomach. “Would you like a drink? I could use some company right about now.” // @lirprb·

“So. If I got this right—which is usually the case—anything consensual goes around here,” the brunette began, head tilting on the side thoughtfully as her bright blue eyes scrutinized over the facial features of the islander across from her. “Which makes me curious.. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to try so badly, but haven’t found the guts yet?” // @lirprb·

Eyebrows pulled together at the question, followed closing by a smile spreading across her face. “Yeah, I guess that pretty well sums it up.” Cacie laughed, ocean blue eyes searched the brunette’s face.  “I’ve been thinking a lot about trying a strap on. I’ve never even been with a woman, I guess that would be a good place to start, it my head it’s always with another woman, and I really am not sure why I’m telling you this.” 

“How bad do mosquitoes get at night?” Elena wondered as she sat on her towel, ankles crossed and palms pressed against the smooth, freshly-cleaned fabric to prop herself up so that she could stare at the beach before her. “’Cause I’m seriously considering sleeping out here tonight.” // @lirprb·

Cacie looked up from standing just where the water reached and shrugged. “If there’s a breeze they’re not terrible, but on a still night I definitely wouldn’t.” 

“people here seem pretty bold,” she offered with a laugh, looking down to help move her dark hair out of the way as the other fixed her up. “thanks so much, by the way. i’m jessica.” as a new arrival to the island, she really didn’t know anyone yet.

      ‘ that’s  a  good  point .   i  like  your  line  of  thinking ! ’    gigi  grins .   ‘ i’m  angelique .   but  gigi  is  fine  for  short .   it’s  nice  to  meet  you ,   cacie ! ’

Emmett didn’t get why someone wouldn’t be into Cacie. “What? I can’t believe that,” he said, pursing his lips. “Besides being super hot, you’re just so easy to be around. Comfortable!” It wasn’t a bad thing in his opinion, preferring the comfort he felt over the awkwardness that typically came with most women. “Beautiful? Oh, stop.” A blush crept to his face as he tried to laugh off the fact that he really liked the way it felt when she called him that. Emmett kissed her back happily, never getting tired of tasting her lips. “No, it’s not stupid. I like you, too,” he said, his voice low as his felt his emotions churn his nerves. “So, we can just spend this time figuring that out while we deal with the crazy sex haze on the side until then.”

It wasn’t always easy for her to talk to people, Emmett was an exception to this rule for some reason. He wasn’t so draining that she felt like she needed to get away from him before the conversation was even finish. “Well, thank you. But it is kind of true.” Cacie laughed, it wasn’t something that bothered her in particular, although she was certainly aware of it. “No, really, you are. You’re like a solid 10, if you’re into slightly sexist ratings.” The blush was cute, endearing, she liked being able to make him feel like that. She held herself up on her forearms, fingers brushed through his hair softly. “If there’s one thing this island has going for it, it’s got lots of romantic options.” Cacie laughed, unsure if she’d actually want to go and do that with anyone else or not. “Do you wanna get dinner tonight? Just you and me?” Blue eyes searched his face, she bit her lower lip. “Don’t worry, I’m really not the jealous type, so if you’re good with it, so am I.”
