The numbers: I have finished 6 files this month, and a batch of cutscene subtitles. This brings the totals to 50 files done and 45 files left. For the first time in one of these check-ins, the number of files officially done outnumbers the amount left. (As stated before, these totals also do not count files that are mostly done but need in-game checks etc.) The cutscene subtitles are also now roughly halfway done.

This update was delayed for a few days because that total should be seven, which to my eyes, looks so much more and typical than last month's five (despite that last month had a good chunk of time taken out of it). There's this file I have finished except for five lines where the addressee is unclear. I need to check the scene itself to find out what's up, but the scene isn't triggering where it should be, so I have to futz around with the game(s) more. I should have just posted the dang update earlier instead of waiting to see if I could shove this file over the finish line. This month's work has already started; I'm just being a big idiot.

Possible delays this month: After being involved longterm with family illnesses, the universe has decreed that I should get sick, as I came down with what appears to be a blood clot in my leg last month. I'm fairly certain of what's wrong, as they run in my family and all the symptoms match, but I can't get an anticoagulant, as none of the providers nearby will tell me how much the diagnostics will cost, so I'm stuck with aspirin for blood thinning + strength training + compression until my body clears it out. Healthcare, the American way! The primary effect is that extended walks become painful, which isn't exactly incompatible with a project where progress requires I sit and set myself to work, but the "trying to get something done" re: the medical problem takes time. I am getting better, slowly.

I also should have that final bit of business to wrap up with my recently-deceased family member coming up sometime. Whether that takes a week or a couple weeks or a couple months is up in the air right now. During that, my output will likely be reduced, but not stagnant. We'll see.
