That’s a nice theory ! II personally believe it might be Serendine, but that Barbs works as one at some point is not out the question either. 

About her being fused with dungeon creatures, as far as i know there is not a rule ( yet) that says a fused person can’t work as a dark vessel, i don’t think they are mutually exclusive until the series clarifies this. I believe that a dark vessel, as we have seen in both Magi and Snb, must be someone who falls into desperation and despair due not being able to achieve their goals, and as a consecuence falls into depravity, causing other people pain, making them fall into depravity too and as a consecuence giving Al thamen the potential quantity of black rukh that they need to create the dark spot. I think Barbs could work, but as things are now, most things have been  working out in his favour so i don’t think he’s going to fall into despair soon ( unless Ohtera and Ohtaka planned a giant plot twist or he just goes crazy) and it’s been hinted that Al thamen has been favoring Barbarossa in this war, not because they like him so much, but so Sinbad could be the one who fell into despair when he lost everything at his hands, if they wanted Barbs to be desperate and work as dark vessel, their plan would have to be very different, i believe.

As for Seren, nothing has really came out the way she wants to, so i believe she could be a potential dark vessel. Plus Falan spent a whole year with Seren, i think she’s very much part of her plan.

But as i haven’t read the upcoming chapters i can’t know for sure whom Falan is talking about, i can only affirmate stuff and facts that have happened in previous chapters, so, these are only my speculations of what could happen ^^ we have to wait for the new chapter to know for sure, it’s exciting!! :3

About what you mentioned about Ceylan, yes, it’s true he told Alibaba it was thanks to him that he was emperor. I’m looking forward to future interaction between Ceylan and Sinbad.

Magi is ending in this week’s issue. I had a lot of fun writing about the Magi world during those long eight years. There were times that I felt I was incompetent, but I’ll be glad if you enjoyed it, even a little. I think Shounen mangas are the kind of things that those who read them forget about with time as they become adults. However, during those busy days, I remembered them all of a sudden and they fill me with courage. I wish if Magi becomes something like that for you and that from now on, the Magi characters are going to be by your side!

I thank everyone who sent me letters and messages as we were nearing the final chapter. I read them while thinking ‘I’m glad that I became a manga author’. I’m going to treasure them.

This is also the last backstage update, but I hope we meet again!
