okay now that i’ve calmed down what am i going to buy myself as a treat for enduring this suffering

the thing about being alone is that it’s so peaceful and freeing and cool apart from the evenings you descend into literal hell

i feel like when talking about the concept of privilege it is meaningful to distinguish "everyone should have this but certain people don't" privilege (e.g supportive parents, relative safety) from "no one should have this but certain people do" privilege (preferential treatment in certain job fields, billions of dollars)

every time a rich white celebrity says ‘these last few years have been rough’ while accepting a trophy made of gold and wearing a designer outfit to then go home to their mansion… the rest of the world should get to take a $10,000 out of their bank account.

There’s nothing I love more than a pair of handsome young men walking around in Revolutionary War outfits. Just please keep dressing wild and freaky. You bring color to life, and it never fails to put a big smile on my face.

I live my life under the basic principle that people know their minds, bodies, genders, and orientations better than I do so I just take them at their word when they say they are a thing.

“But people could be faking for-” I don’t care. I would rather show someone a kindness they don’t need than not show them one they do.

I know this will bother unhealed adults, but the real world, more often than not, does give you second chances and do overs. Very rarely are things set in stone. And people, especially young people, deserve to know that. Because lording the idea that they can never mess up, even once, does a lot more damage than good.
