- Ever since he was a kid, he’s always had violent tendencies and takes it out on others to cope with his home life and to feel more comfortable with himself, since he saw that modeled at home

- Because of said home life, he developed BPD and NPD. Initially, he was a “Vulnerable Narcissist” (who the fanbase dubs “Vincent” but IMO is just Vox repeating the same cycle of switching Narcissist “types” because of a severe BPD split, which we don’t directly see in his life but we DO see in death) but in death, he met Alastor and latched onto him as his “favorite person” causing him to split and shift to Grandiose Narcissism as a way to cope with the new “need” of pretending to be better than everyone for Alastor’s approval

- Vox is heavily suicidal, SH’s, and has attempted via angelic metal once or twice. The only reason he has stayed is because he knows that if he dies, Alastor would be disappointed in him and he feels that’s a fate worse than death

- Vox started using Antenna stabilizers to prevent showing emotion, as Alastor taught him, as well as smiling past his true emotions, but he’s not very good at it

- He likes to show off with his electricity powers and decorates his outfit with holograms (eg. his hat)

- His right eye has a shine on it to resemble his heterochromia as well as the eye that got stabbed upon death

- Vox absorbs Alastor’s personality since he’s his favorite person, even copying his outfits and mannerisms in an attempt to become closer and gain approval ( this has the opposite effect on Alastor )

- Vox initially tried to hypnotize Alastor a long time ago, which is how he figured out it doesn’t work on overlords / anyone stronger or equal to him. It’s also partially why he wants to become stronger than Alastor, so that if all else fails, he can just hypnotize him

- Valentino actually knows that Vox has BPD/NPD even though Vox doesn’t and tries his best to ground him but gets annoyed and gives up half of the time. Vox denies everything bc he thinks it makes him weak and means he had trauma which doesn’t beleive in, he thinks it was character building for his main character ark or smth 🥀

- Vox is a major theatre kid and sings to himself 24/7 which is why he has so many songs. He secretly loves how music-focused Hell is

- Vox unironically listens to girly pop music and cries to it thinking about Alastor during depressive episodes and doesn’t tell anyone but the Vees, and Valentino hates having to deal with it

- He also somehow listens to male manipulator music religiously + Radio Head. His favorite genre is EDM + breakcore of course

- He accidentally gave Valentino his nickname “Val” by calling him “Al” and tried to save his ass saying it was a new nickname and then it stuck

- Vox is a HUGE hypocrite when it comes to him and Val’s relationship. He thinks he wants a “real” relationship, but Val pushes him away from getting too close, knowing Vox isn’t ready for that and doesn’t want to get hurt even more

- Vox likes to wrap his wires around his body and hands and pretend it’s Alastor hugging him / holding his hand like a pathetic loser

- When he sleeps, his dreams play on holograms projected out of his screen which the Vee’s find entertaining to watch and sometimes annoying depending on the dream

- Vox lowkey stalks Alastor and makes sure there is always cameras on him when available no matter what he’s doing ( I mean no matter WHAT ). He often has holograms around him playing what Alastor is doing. ( yes this does make Alastor hate him more and yes this is self-sabotage )

- Vox actually has joint issues and frequently needs repairs.. ( this is a guilty pleasure headcanon with no evidence to back it up lol )

- Alastor went through a lot of trauma being a mixed kid in the 1930’s, his dad leaving him and his mom from the fear of backlash of being dating a POC / having a POC kid. He became a mama’s boy and helped his mom out with funds ( always sent her his extra money as an adult ) since she was a single mom, making him grow a resentment for men and those who think they’re better than him

- Because of trauma and chronic feelings of inadequacy to everyone around him, Alastor developed AVPD and forced himself to put on a “show” and smile through everything to feel like he has control over how others perceive him

- Because of his fear of rejection and being perceived, he constantly avoids any social interaction and frequently isolates himself. He knows / can sense Vox watching his every move, and isolated himself even more during those moments, as putting on a show can be tiring. But sometimes Alastor forgets and slips up

- He constantly feels the need to be better than everyone and thinks that everyone is out to get him because of how he was treated growing up, as well as in the radio business, where people would often use him for their own gain while simultaneously treating him like he was worthless

- He refuses to get close to anyone because of his anxiety, but fantasizes about meeting “the one” to make his mom proud

- Alastor is lithromantic and doesn’t know it, thinking it’s just his fault for getting too close and falling out of love through his own insecurity and anxiety

- He left the hotel in season 2 because of Lucifer’s attitude of course, but also has a deep hatred for Lucifer because he challenges Alastor’s need for feeling stronger / better than everyone. Even though he knows Lucifer can’t hurt him, he acts better than Alastor and teases him, which enrages Alastor and sends him deeper into spirals of self-doubt

- Alastor started off killing people as a coping mechanism to feel stronger, but turned to cannibalism not only to gain power in hell through summoning, but also to assert dominance and treat them like all they were was game, as they treated him the same way

- Alastor is a deer in Hell not just because of how he died, but because of his deeply rooted insecurity of being treated like how he eventually treated others, a prey animal to be hunted for nothing but sport

- Because of Vox copying Alastor’s mannerisms, he pushes Vox away because Alastor is the embodiment of those he hates but uses it as karmic retribution, so seeing someone like him is like reliving his trauma (he’s so insecure that he hates anyone who acts like himself)

- Alastor has trichotillomania from stress and was abused for it as a kid, causing him to repress it. Because of his trichotillomania, he’s even more obsessed / worried with his looks. He falls back into the bad habit when stressed out

- He was restrained a lot as a kid to get him to stop pulling out his hair, so he has a lot of trauma surrounding being touched and man-handled on top of his general insecurity

- Alastor frequently tries to cut off his own tail / ears / antlers but they always grow back. If he knew Vox has access to angelic weapons, he’d probably try to get his hands on it to cut them off for good

- Alastor never realized that he ACTUALLY had feelings for Vox, just that he thought he finally found a man who was capable of being equal / understood him, until he learned how racist / vulnerable he was, which shattered his perception of him. Alastor also immediately fell out of love and felt disgust when Vox confessed from internalalized homophobia + lithromantacism

- Alastor uses Vox’s old name (“Vincent”) as a slur to cut deeper to Vox, since he knows “Vox” is nothing more than an act, and uses the to remind Vox of who he is. He also just finds it’s funny to see his reaction

- Because of Alastor falling on the asexual spectrum, he sees himself as “above it” and “better” than others, using it as a manipulation tactic. He believes that he was simply born superior and that “humans are weak with their sickly desires”

- Alastor purposefully dehumanizes himself, placing himself bellow them internally, and coping with it by forcefully placing himself above externally. He doesn’t think of himself as a human, rather some other creature ( bro is alter human frfr )
