something i was thinking about the other night was just how like…deliberate? everything was with cdream grooming ctommy into a situation where he could isolate and abuse him. like the calculation involved in the exile situation specifically is very obvious. but what i was thinking about was even before that. with wilbur. like looking back everything with wilbur was SO unsubtle cdream’s part, but then again he really is not the most subtle guy is he. like he really went to pogtopia, most likely to enjoy the victory of seeing the brothers (specially tommy) at their worst. probably immediately clocked that something wasn’t right with wilbur, specifically that this was really upsetting tommy, said “i can use that” and proceeded to do everything in his power to make it worse. he actively encouraged wilbur’s paranoia and delusions, set up the scene for what essentially amounted to wilbur’s death (and i think he knew that) and then literally gave him the tnt that he would later use to attempt suicide. like was cdream the only reason wilbur was so messed up? no, it was more complicated than that and there were other people involved, but he was responsible for some of it, and the second he picked up on wilbur’s downward spiral he actively encouraged and enabled it for his own advantage. that advantage being tommy. alone and more vulnerable than ever without his brother around. cdream was well aware of how important wilbur was to tommy, it wasn’t exactly a secret i mean the kid practically screamed it to the heavens how much he loved his brother. but more importantly cdream knew that wilbur was one of the very few forces standing between him and tommy. not only would wilbur never have let exile happen, but as long as wilbur was around that was someone tommy looked up to, someone he listened to willingly out of love and respect. and dream couldn’t have that. if he was going to have the type of control he craved over tommy, wilbur was a very obvious obstacle for that. he didn’t kill wilbur, but he did just about everything he could to make sure wilbur did it himself. he didn’t pull the trigger but he gave him the fucking gun. why do you think he conveniently waited until right after wilbur’s death to enact his plans for exile. that fucker knew exactly what he was doing. and he was planning it for MONTHS before tommy was ever even exiled. because he had to get rid of his brother first. little fucked innit?
