I think she’d hold a certain hope in her heart deep, deep down that he’d come back someday. I think that’d even up to the very day he came back…she’d be trying to find him again and she definitely would recognize him straight away, unlike Tenna. She spends a lot of time out in the purple cliffs, testing the borders of TV world trying to find him.

The memories she’d have of Spamton would be distant and faded since Tenna would most likely hide or destroy any evidence of him after he left (at least the best he could….I have a feeling the Z room would be completely redone to be hers…but she can still feel his presence there). What she remembers is that Spam loved her…the memories are good ones. I’m of the opinion that Spam would actually be a decent caretaker and it’s the fear of his benefactor and all the other nonsense that clouded his judgement in other areas. She was born out of their genuine love and partnership, one of the few acts of freedom Spam took a chance on and that he was super proud of.

She’d probably hold resentment of course, normal for being raised by a bitter and guilty single father who had a grudge against his ex-partner…but she also knew of the contract that cornered Spam into leaving that was made by Tenna, but was too young to process what it all meant. Tenna talks in his sleep…..a lot….and she’s a very sharp listener.

Her usual inherent spark in the Couples Therapy AU would be dimmed a little, hiding under the weight of all the secrets and emotions she’s tucked away in a place where everyone is just pretending to be okay, but Tenna still did raise her with the utmost love and care he could manage, and even more overprotectiveness than usual. She’d be the equivalent of 17ish and still not able to fly (Tenna wouldn’t ever say it out loud but he was terrified she’d leave too).

When Spamton is back, I think she’d embrace him at first, questions later. That’s just her core personality and who she is. She doesn’t question where he’s been or why he left or why he did what he did…mostly because she already has a strong idea why.

His appearance though would initially be seriously off putting to her. She had always hoped that Spam could teach her to fly when he returned since it was something he always promised to do when he was around her as a baby. Those dreams are dashed instantly when she sees him and she’s never had contact with anyone in Cyber City since she was an infant so the part of her that is an Addison feels completely hollow. She’s a bit too much like Tenna in that regard, an over dependence on nostalgia to get through the day to day. Something in her breaks, for she’s very patient and thought she’d be rewarded once he returned and if she just kept smiling and being positive, only for her own dreams to be dashed along with him. There’s sympathy for his situation, but also a bit of “selfish” rage that finally starts to boil over as she finds herself feeling like she’ll never get off the ground and be her own person, just a remnant of a broken relationship.
