So 2025 is almost done and honestly it's been a bit mad for me in terms of writing this year. Since June I've written and posted almost 200k words, which is almost half of my total word count on my AO3 account that I've had since 2016.
It blows my mind a bit really because I don't think I've ever been this productive whilst also being so busy in my personal life simultaneously, I've actually impressed myself I'm ngl, but I've also tried to make myself really disciplined in order to get the things I want done, done, which has meant that I've basically read nothing myself lmao, both in terms of books or fanfic. (I want to change that for next year, I miss reading things!)
I want to thank anyone who has read or commented or left kudos or rec'd anything I've written this year (or in years gone by), I honestly appreciate it so much. ❤️ I write basically for myself really and I always have done, but hearing like 1 person liking something I've written always is incredible to me, so thank you so, so much. You're all incredible. ❤️

So slow that if Robert wasn’t looking, he might not have noticed; but when it comes to Aaron, Robert is always looking, and so he notices it straight away.

“Y’know you could take a picture, it’ll last longer,” Robert says loudly. Aaron halts and turns back to face him, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets and shrugging his shoulders innocently, like he doesn’t know what Robert is talking about.
“Yeah, you’re alright thanks.”

Robert looks up at him with wide eyes, pupils blown deep and black. He’s panting, thoroughly debauched with his ripped shirt hanging down one arm and exposing the deep ridge of his collarbone, the thick muscle of his shoulder arching away from his neck. He’s gorgeous, he’s Aaron’s.
“Y’know Kev got one thing right,” he says, breathless and heart racing as he scans his eyes over Robert’s face before dropping them down to his chest and further still. The sight of his smooth, toned torso making him throb the way it always does, always has, for 11 years. “You are fit.”

It’s a scar, a raised pink line trailing up from Aaron’s hipbone. It would be nothing really, except there is a twin next to it, and another on the opposite side – jagged and angry looking – and the tail end of another peeking out from under the twisted hem of Aaron’s shirt. Robert swallows and pauses, takes a second to process.
“Summat wrong?” Aaron pants, and Robert looks up at him sharply, realises he’s unconsciously stopped the grinding roll of the palm of his hand.
“No. Nothin’.”

“I hate that you did that.” He says as he looks down at the mark Robert knows has caught his attention, now healed, at least on the surface. It’s deep pink and angry looking still, a perfect, straight gash of a line that still aches if Robert flexes his muscles too much. “I hate that he did this to you.”

Aaron raises an eyebrow and pulls a curious face, nods his head once flirtatiously. “Oh really? What do you need up here then?”
Robert smirks wider still and tugs Aaron into his body until they are pressed close from head to toe; Aaron feels him hard against his thigh through his jeans and a curl of heat forms in the pit of his belly.
“You.” Robert answers lowly, sliding his fingers down and underneath the hem of Aaron’s t-shirt to stroke over his bare skin. “And a horizontal surface.”

Harry chats animatedly to Vic a few steps ahead, bouncing on his toes beside her as he goes through all the toys he’d opened this morning with excitement. His sister and nephew are obviously not wrestling with the same morbid imagery as he is, but there isn’t any real reason that they would be, it’s not them that the spirit of Jack Sugden haunts – it’s Robert who has that luxury, and he probably always will.

The baby coos from her place in front of him on the bed, her legs scrunching up towards her tummy as she blinks her half lidded eyes up at him, and he smiles down at her reflexively, mug of warm tea held halfway to his mouth.
He could put her in the plastic cot to his left, but he can’t bring himself to, still can’t quite believe that she is real and she exists, can’t get enough of looking at her tiny fingers and wispy waves of blonde hair. She looks a bit like him he thinks, her nose and the shape of her mouth and face, but her eyes and the slight curl that has begun to form in her thin hair is all Aaron, recognises those features from watching her brother grow.
Her brother – Jacob – his little boy is now a big brother.

I'm sorry if this is kind of a weird question, but recently I've reread some of the earlier parts of your omegaverse - and I noticed that in the beginning you wrote Robert as an omega who enjoyed topping men - but once he had Jacob, had always bottomed.
Was this an intentional choice on your part - or did the story just develop naturally?
No not a weird question anon. To tell the truth it's actually pretty simple - Robert wants to get pregnant and he can't do that if he's topping Aaron. 😂
And even when they both think they can't have anymore kids, they still want a baby, and so partly subconsciously and partly intentionally, they are still trying to have a baby when they have sex. So naturally that mindset affects what kind of sex they are wanting and choosing to have if that makes sense?

“John?” Andy asks and he sounds confused now. A small voice in the back of Robert’s head tells him that he’s said too much, that he should stop, but the anger and alcohol in his blood drowns the sound out in his ears and he flexes his fists against at his side. “Robert I know John’s a prick, but tryin’ to mess with his relationship the day before his weddin’ is low even for you.”
“He thinks he’s the golden boy don’t he?” He snaps back rhetorically, doesn’t expect or want an answer to that question. “And them all in there keep on tellin’ him that. How Dad’d’ve been proud of him. But the truth is he’d’ve just been another disappointment too.” And it’s spilling out of him now, like vomit and bile, sloshing in his stomach and threatening to splatter across the pavement and both his and Andy’s shoes. “Dad’ll be turnin’ in his grave tomorrow, a son of his marryin’ another bloke. He’d be ashamed.”

I'm working away at the last 2 chapters still, but I think I mentioned this to another anon a little while ago, for some reason I struggle a bit with writing in this AU when I'm having issues with the show and how I feel about it. I don't really know why, it's just always been the case since I started it and I wish it wasn't because I honestly love it so much. But I am trying to get it done, I just hope they will be worth the 6 month plus wait.
That Pokemon mission 39 is so real. I hated doing it but you need to, to complete the dex .
And the sad part is I still ain’t completed the dex cause I can’t find a stupid farfetch. I found a bunch of shinys but a can’t find a stupid duck in the hyperspace zones.

It's ridiculous. The same thing happened with the human trafficking SL. So much so that they had to have Bear do a PSA at the end of the trial episode being all like "Remember everyone, human trafficking is really bad." because 99% of the audience had probably forgotten why Ray was even killed in the first place.
I am really, really struggling to watch the show or have any investment in it right now I'm ngl, and this 'twist' with the Charity storyline I just think is fucking awful and unnecessary and makes absolutely no sense in the context of the story, except as a plot twist to create shock and some weird gross way of trying to absolve Charity of any of her behaviour from the last 10 or so months.
The human trafficking storyline I lost any interest in a lot earlier than I think most people did because I personally found it was so over egging the pudding, and combined with the storyline that April had just gone through at the start of 2025, I thought it was torture porn for her character and it really left a sour taste in my mouth. The fact that it went on for so long and then also didn't address ANY of the issues with Bear that initially triggered him going missing in the first place also was just ridiculous.
I just think the show is in an awful state right now, and the fact that they thought to do this current plotline with Charity in PRIDE MONTH honestly says it all.
