Guys, shipping aside I genuinely think we overlook just how beautiful Gon and Killua's friendship truly is and how much it means to the both of them.

The first time we see Killua shed tears, its because he feels as though he's failed Gon and can't help him. This 12 year old boy absolutely BROKE at the thought of losing the one person whom he connected with so deeply. He's killed, been manipulated by his brother, BEATEN by his other brother yet none of this hurt him as deep as that helpless feeling of your friend drifting away and you having no way to fix it. Killua probably felt indebted to Gon because he's been saved SO many times by that boy without having to ask and not being asked for anything in return.

Their friendship was built on caring for one another so deeply that it could only be expressed through actions and not words. They trust eachother with their lives, and it was NEVER one sided.

Killua was there with Gon every step of the way when he first stepped out into the actual world and away from his small island. Killua was an integral part of Gon's journey into the real world, having someone you can experience that with must have felt so good to Gon. We don't really get much insight into how much Gon cares for his friendship with Killua word-wise but his actions tell us everything we need to know.
