Ok, I love this 5 star treatment the new Lictor is getting.
The original Lictor; bit of a nostalgia piece but all metal and mono-pose. Plus I have never worked out what is happening with it's lower jaw.
The flesh hooks being fired in this pose isn't too bad; it looks like it's lunging from it's hiding place and there is a gentle parabola to their trajectory.
The 3rd edition Lictor; again, all metal and mono-pose as far as you could swivel it's limbs in the body's sockets.
Holy bamboo-titties batman! Dead straight flesh hook tendons! The overall pose doesn't suit the action at all; is it supposed to look like Madonna leaning against the bar with her cone-brah on or what?
The current Lictor; came out in 5E (2008) in white metal and then migrated to Failcast in the early 2010's.
At least this one has a good face and it's not firing it's flesh hooks.
Bad enough that this chud has 8 limbs but it's flesh hooks are extended for no reason too - madam! Kindly get you nipples under control!
New Lictor kit comes with enough bits to have three separate poses! After more than 20 years of a token, throw away, mono-pose Lictor sculpt, we're actually getting face options.
I don't think this scale is correct, but... it would be kinda nice. A Lictor should be a big, scary gribly; an invisible praying mantis the size of a giraffe that will eat your brain should be horrifying. Probably on a 50mm base, not a 60mm.
Still! I am excited for the new Lictor and the Vanguard Onslaught Detachment.
