You can't mass produce palismen.

Why?

It's easy to misunderstand the process– after all, a palisman is carved from Palistrom wood, brought to life by one's deepest wish. But in reality, it's not that simple. While true that a wish is what gives the palisman life, the love and care of the process is just as important.

From the seed of a Palistrom tree, planted in the dirt and watered daily. From the branch chosen, its bark protecting the wood inside. Each piece carefully shaved off, every single smile from every single witch, is what truly gives the palisman its heart.

You can't mass produce palismen.

There have been a few attempts from greedy, or even well-meaning, witches to produce palisman on-mass, but all have been duds.

Spells set up to auto-water the trees everyday, equipment to remove branches quickly, abominations (and later machines) to carve many logs into similar shapes, or even hollow wishes. If even one of these are used in the process, the palisman, while still a useful tool for harnessing magic, completely lack a soul.
