Then during the Clone Wars they had a terrorist group and Maul got involved and theres a Fall of Mandalore there when he takes over, and tbh I don't recall it ever rebuilding properly due to [spoiler]. Ok they freed it but then it got stuck under Imperial rule. Then there was a civil war and shit, go watch Rebels if you haven't.

But then if we're talking Din, well he wasn't even part of Mandalore proper. During the Clone Wars era, the aforementioned terrorists rescued him and took him to Concordia.

Ok so I've googled it for this part and the above is now unnecessary and irrelevant but I'm leaving it there

The "Great Purge of Mandalore" happened between 4 and 5 ABY. The Mandalorian Season 1 is set in 9 ABY.

Din's movements are less clear, we just know he was rescued by Death Watch at some point in the Clone Wars (22-19 BBY). He "grew up" on Concordia, and by 4 ABY was on Nevarro, with The Tribe, and had acquired his armour.

This actually cleared up a ton! I guess i was confusing the events of clone wars with the actual Purge of Mandalore, which i assumed happened immediately following the events of clone wars. I’ve seen some people say din “was a child during the purge” (when he was actually a child during clone wars) so maybe thats where I was getting mixed up (and i probably still am confused but atp im a lost cause lmfao)

Translation notes:

In phrases like "I need your help, can you come here?", I dropped the pronoun in the second half of the phrase because I think in Mando'a it would be a redundancy. I have no real basis for doing this, just vibes.

There is no Mando'a word for aisle, so veeray was the next best thing.

There's probably some mistakes in the verb conjugations, but I don't care at this point.
