Can we talk about how much wasted potential Ethel had?? Think about how cool a character he could have been, she says the Bossinys have always been the tutors for the Pennvellyns, wouldn’t that be pretty shitty? Being expected to spend your life teaching some (probably pretty bratty, judging on Jane) mega rich kids? It would have made so much more sense for her to have resented the Pennvellyns when she was younger, but then begrudgingly take the job because that’s what was expected of her? It would have been really interesting! Also, why did Her bother designing and animating her if we can’t even talk to her? There’s just lots of things they could have done with her and I want to talk to someone about this.
