Hey guys I think I’m being scammed on ao3!!! I have a guest who’s commented 5 times in the last hour and they’ve now brought up drawing the characters and that they spend time on discord and instagram is it finally happening?!?!
(I haven’t replied because I couldn’t be bothered and now I’m just straight up intrigued as to where they’re going with this. Will reblog if I am actually getting scammed :D)
I mean I know it's a scam because they literally talked about my descriptions of the character when I puropsefully didn't describe him because I don't describe characters with no set appearence (sherlock from Sherlock and co) so that everyone can picture their version because I hate it when other podcast fics don't do this and their description doesn't match my guy! :D
They didn't send anything new apart from an instagram name (I don't even have an instagram acount anymore I don't think and if I do I don't remember it) so I deleted the messages :(
Now I go back to figuring out how the fuck to draw a front facing leg I suppose :/

Not to be posting messages of doom during the brightest month of the year (although in my defence, Pride is and always will be a protest), but...
As a British lesbian, I have never felt more unsafe being queer in the current political climate of the UK. I am lucky to have grown up in a more accepting political climate, so I especially can see this decline in safety.
The sheer amount of Reform signs in my local area, and the recent local election results across the UK are petrifying, given Farage and co's homophobic stances. Restore signs have also been cropping up in certain areas.
The current parliamentary debates about the ECHR, whilst not personally impacting my quality of life AS directly or to a large extent, makes me fear for trans people in particular across the country.
Although Durham had success in raising funds to hold Pride without the local Reform-ran council who cancelled it is still scary because of the circumstances. My local council is now a third Reform UK (we do it in thirds) and will likely win more seats in the council in the next local elections.
By no means am I saying that I have no rights as a queer person in the UK. We are still safe in comparison to other countries globally. But this security in being queer here is declining, and is becoming a huge problem as the far right closes in on us politically.
Our identities are not your political campaigns. Our identities are not up for debate. Take your fascism and fuck off.
luckily my area is PRETTY good? I don't see many reform people but my school is pretty conservative (that's what I get for going to a private school ig) so I definitely still notice all the conservatism (is that a word?? idk) in my classmates.... (I mean one of them literally asked why he can't protest the existance of trans people in the middle of a lesson so yk... it's not great....)
But yeah. I agree with everything in this post and I will not shut up about all this shit just because "it's pride month we should be happy!!!" NO. We should be angry that our rights that we FOUGHT SO HARD FOR are being taken away. Pride month IS a protest and we shouldn't let them get away with this silently. Even if shouting about it online is all I can really do right now I will shout as loudly as I can because I'm not okay with this.
I was gonna do a bit with the sherlock and co characters in a happy pride thing and then mycroft just making out with someone in the background but I just realised I don't ship him with anyone :/
I’m just saying if Daniel Radcliffe, the literal protagonist of the Harry Potter franchise since the age of ten years old, was able to disavow JK Rowling and move on from the HP universe then actually what the fuck is anyone else’s excuse. There is no one else on the planet who can say their entire childhood was HP more than that guy and he still cared about trans people more than the average tumblr user who says “we’re protesting by making all her characters queer and trans!!” like you can do better. You should do better.
