Remember Merrick Garland? That guy seemed pretty okay, or, you know, at least not creepy and accused of sexual assault.

Here's the article, I'd say it was a scandal, but it feels more like "par for the course."

We can’t stop gun nuts, but we can still protect the kids. Standard issue Tactical Body Armor for all school aged kids would be a win-win for everyone. Kids are safer from Mass Shootings, and armor manufacturers get access to the lucrative K-12 market. Yay Democracy! Yay Capitalism!

Well if Russia has hypersonic missiles, I guess we better get some too. It reminds me of the old-timey cartoon standoff, where two characters keep running off-screen and coming back with successively bigger guns.
