Brave Motel

The first episode of Give It To Me Straight is now available at bravemotel.net and in iTunes. These first few episodes are a multi-part roundtable we recorded on a group to to Las Vegas. Give It To Me Straight will primarily be one on one interviews going forward, but this was a great opportunity to test the concept, and I'm very proud of how it turned out.

We really want this to be even bigger and more involved than we were before, and we’d really appreciate your help getting there. Give It To Me Straight has it’s own facebook page now and the show itself launches next Thursday (7/9). This week the show goes mostly on the road to Arizona! Arlyn and Damian are back (along with friend of the show Megan).

Getting 4 people together for 2+ hours for the sole purpose of recording is tough, and even when we manage that, we've got to keep conversation going that entire time with no guidelines. How about shorter "mini-sodes"? 15-30 minute recordings of however many of us are around talking about a specific topic. Not as a replacement for the regular length show, but in addition and posted more often. How's that strike you?

This week we realize no one but Rico knows how to use the equipment, hot pocket porn is definitely weird, Dan doesn’t like butt stuff, this show is going to ruin our future careers, Rico and Charles went to San Francisco and visited the Kozy Kar, Paloma is a big meanie, we implore our listeners to prove Dan wrong, Rico is a pickler, Paloma is bad at peeing outside, we can’t stop talking about hot pockets, we workshop some pickle puns, Dan and Charles create some bizarre scenario for Paloma, we decide how we’d kill if we were werewolves, the show reminisces about 90’s children’s horror, Dan doesn’t like Denny’s, Paloma is a big baby, and the show is on it’s last legs (Rico is moving).
